paintball

I enjoy watching people play paintball and have always wanted to try it out as well. It looks so much fun and gives you that adrenaline rush! I wonder how much it hurts when you get hit? Good thing there are available paintball gears and paintball masks to protect yourself. I have yet to really try paintball... another one added to my to-do list for the year!

new addiction

One of my best friend's introduced me to facebook. Now I'm super hooked!!! I love the applications. You can do more with it than with friendster. Anyway, one of my favorite applications is pet society! It's really fun designing my own house. It takes a bit of time to earn money, but there are some ways to work around that... hehe! I already have a living room, kitchen/dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. I hope I can have another room pretty soon. Maybe I will make a garden or probably a play room.

too sunny

Don’t you just hate the scorching heat? It’s definitely summer time. It would be a nice time to go to the beach but I just hope it won’t be too sunny. Well, what’s a bit irritating is that sometimes it’s too hot then it would suddenly rain for like around 15 minutes and then it would be super hot again. I don’t know if the changing weather has any effect on acne outbreaks, but it looks like I would need to get some treatment for acne before it gets worse. Oh well. I hope the succeeding days won’t be as hot as the previous ones.

summer swimming

My sweetie and I went swimming last monday with his little sisters and cousins. I recently discovered that our club house has been renovated and open to the public. I remember the pool there used to be dirty and the place was not properly maintained. It's a good thing it's under new management and the place looks nice and clean again.

birthday party

I’m already excited to attend one of my good friend’s son’s 1st birthday party! I’m actually making his souvenirs for the party. I’m making goodie bags with cookies and chocolates. I’ve got new chocolate molds and cookie cutters that are appropriate for any boy-themed party. Of course I have girl-themed molds and cutters as well (in case any of you are interested for your daughters’ parties). I hope everybody would love the souvenirs I’m making.

coping with the crisis

Is the recession affecting your company? It's saddening to hear about lay offs being made around the world. I even hear friends who have jobs in IT that their company is implementing pay cuts. Oh well. Different companies are coping up with the financial crisis in different ways. A lot are really disappointed but have no choice but to sacrifice. They're glad they still have their jobs. It would be so much disastrous to lose one right now especially if you have your own family to support.

Trying out rings

One of the things that I enjoyed doing at the wedding expo is trying out wedding rings. Honestly, me and my sweetie were pretty much clueless about rings. We haven’t done any research about it so we didn’t know where to start. It’s great that the sales lady from Goldenhills was very patient enough to assist us. It was fun trying out which ring design would look nice on our fingers. My sweetie was pretty much overwhelmed by a lot of factors to consider when picking a ring – white gold or yellow gold or some other material? Matte or shiny? With diamond/s? (duh?) What cut? Well, I guess our decision would be dictated by how much budget we have. Well, we did arrive to some favorites, but of course we haven’t finalized anything yet. I’m still (patiently) waiting for the formal proposal! Hehehe!

investing

I used to look at mutual funds investments. I haven’t entirely dipped my hands into actually investing on them. I have also tried to learn about investing in the stock market and there’s so much to learn about it and I haven’t entirely dipped my fingers into actually investing on them as well. I don’t know if it’s a good move to put my money on these kinds of investments, especially after learning from a couple of friends how much they lost already, considering the world wide financial crisis going on. Well, maybe long term wise, I can still earn from these, but there are still some other options that I’m still looking at, just like investing in gold and silver through Monex. Considering the supply and demand, their worth is most likely to go up, but this can be a long term investment as well and not an instant get rich scheme.

Chow chow

I just love this super cute dog we saw at BHS. Her name is ginger! Her owner was kind enough to let me take a picture of her dog. It looks like ginger is posing for the camera here. Notice her bluish tongue? It's usually one of the distinct characteristics of Chow chows, aside from their bushy fur. I hope someday I'll have a full bred chow chow. Our dog, sammie is just half chow, half japanese spitz. (Unfortunately) she has more characteristics of a japanese spitz.

Italianni's

Thanks to Magic 89.9, my sweetie and I had a free dinner at Italianni's at Bonifacio High Street last Valentine's day.

The boys (from Boys Night Out) were very generous to give me and my bestfriend (Puj) each a free dinner for two when we visited the station a few days before hearts day.

Going to BHS on Valentine's was a bit hellish because of the anticipated traffic. Almost all restaurants were full. Even Italianni's had a long waiting line, considering that they already put out additional tables in front of the restaurant! Well, the long wait was well worth it! Here's what we ate:

Everything was free except the pizza which my sweetie ordered. He just have to order pizza! He's just a pizzaholic!

ring anticipation

My sweetie and I have talked about getting married a lot of times already, although I admit of getting a bit impatient when my sweetie would propose to me. I guess I’m just really getting excited with the thought of finally marrying the love of my life. We both know we’re going to end up together and it’s just a matter of time. Well, I already made sure he knows my ring size! Hahaha! I might actually give him some information regarding some jewelers to aid him when finding the perfect ring. Well, I’m not really particular about the ring but of course it would be such a great bonus to get a pretty nice ring, right? Anyway, I’m trying to take my mind off these things and just let him be. I know when the right time comes he’ll finally pop the question.

wedding stuff

Planning for a wedding can really be so tedious. There are so many details that you have to think about, ranging from major stuff like the venue of your church and reception and who your caterer would be to the stuff like what unity candle to buy or what bridesmaid gifts to get. It’s just great that there are a lot of sites out there to guide every bride in planning. Knowing that you have these sites somehow gives a comforting feeling to a bride. Planning for the great big day may be hard but every bride should enjoy the journey! I can’t wait when it’s going to be my turn!

Ensure

There are a lot of nutritional drinks out there. What do you drink? Have you tried out ensure? They claim that it is a good source for omega 3 and a lot of vitamins and minerals that our body essentially needs. It’s lactose and gluten free as well. This drink can really be a great diet supplement. I know my sweetie’s grandmother drinks this regularly. Despite her old age, she’s still very healthy. Maybe you can check out allegromedical.com if you are interested to get your supply of Ensure. They offer a lot of nutritional dietary supplements among others. Check out their site!

crisis

I think every household can feel the worldwide crisis happening. It’s extra tough these days when almost everything is expensive and you got to be extra smart on your spending or else you’ll have a hard time stretching your budget and just might end up in debt. These days, we aim only to spend on the necessities and hold off on indulging on luxuries. Sometimes there are things that arise and you are forced to shell out extra money.
