photography classes

There's been some frenzy about photography in one of my scrapbook egroups. It's actually exciting that photography goes hand in hand with scrapbooking. It's definitely more fun to scrap using very nice pictures!

I envy those who have already signed up for the July classes. I bet it's gonna be a riot! I would've signed up myself but I'm still saving up for some traveling plans and I really wanna buy an underwater camera! Oh well... priorities...

Good times

I visited my former company yesterday since my former team mate has been texting me for help...

Anyway, I had so much fun seeing old friends from the company! I missed the place! ...but not enough for me to go back! hehehe! It's just really nice catching up on each other's lives. It's also nice meeting the new guy in the team (i hope he doesn't resign soon! hehehe! Goodluck, pare!). I also saw a former orgmate who's recently new in the company (3 wks?) but is already planning to resign! Ooooh! I wonder how my boss will react (we have the same boss)...

I missed my 2 scorpion friends! hahaha! It was just really hilarious spending time with them. It's really different when the three of us gets together! We somehow just really understand what each is going through. Oh well. I hope we get to spend more time together soon!

Wow! I'm really excited for this one! I hope I get my ppp payout by that time so I'll have money to shop! hehehe! I would love to have a sizzix of my own, but it looks like I'd have to wait a little longer since I'm prioritizing saving up for my dumaguete-siquijor-bohol trip on October. Oh well. I'll probably just buy a new trimmer since I'm not to happy with my carl. I'll also probably buy some distressing ink. Hmmm... what else? Mateo's Baptism

By the time I finished up on the souvenirs for mateo's baptism i was already nauseous from the sight and smell of chocolates! hehe! Imagine making around 700 pieces of these:

Truly a labor of love! hehehe! Anyways, it's too bad we were late for the actual baptism. Blame it on the "weird traffic" last saturday as Puj would claim. Hehehe!

I had so much fun seeing old friends and catching up on each others lives. I guess a lot of singles were pressured after seeing some married couples who brought along their bundles of joy! *sigh* Oh well. I wonder who's gonna be next to get married or have a new baby...

In need of a long vacation

I can't seem to get traveling off my mind lately. I have this strong urge to explore different places. I guess I just want a really long vacation where I can just unwind, rest and revitalize myself.

I have always dreamt of spending a long vacation at those big island hawaii luxury homes. I would surely enjoy the serene surrounding and the raw beauty of nature. That would really be "living the life"! The comfort and luxury would be such a great treat to one's self.

There are a lot of fantastic hawaiian vacation packages which makes it easy on anybody's pocket. A hawaiian vacation definitely provides a perfect ambiance for some R&R. It's anybody's dream vacation. With everybody's fast-paced lives, slowing down to appreciate what this place has to offer is truly an indulgence.

finances

I have to admit that my hubby is better at dealing with financial matters. He has more discipline when it comes to money and usage of credit card. I'm the one usually maxing out on credit cards and would usually find myself rationalizing my "great buys" to him. It's really hard not to get tempted when one sees a great pair of shoes or bag on sale!

It's good that they have already increased my credit limit. But nevertheless, I'm still maxing it out. I guess I just have to be more disciplined like my hubby and just stick to buying the essentials.

I'm thinking of getting a loan to finance this new business plan I'm brewing up. It's good that even if one has bad credit loans, they are still eligible to apply for another loan...although, of course, at a higher interest rate. It's not too bad when you think about it. Atleast there's still an available option for those who have financial problems. I just hope my maxing out of credit cards don't get me into deep financial trouble.

Getting a new look

My blog template is soo boring. I'm still in the process of looking for a better template, but I'll settle for this one for the meantime. I've been planning on adding some more stuff here and fixing the layout. I guess I've been more focused lately on my other blog and haven't really given this one much attention. Oh well. I promise to give this one a better look. Hopefully I'll have more time next week.

Just sharing

I just read this from Ena's blog and thought of sharing it to you as well...

BILL OF RIGHTS by Virginia Satir

1. I do not have to feel guilty just because someone else does not like what I do, say, think, or feel.

2. It is O.K. for me to feel angry and to express it in responsible ways.

3. I do not have to assume full responsibility for making decisions, particularly where others share responsibility for making the decisions.

4. I have the right to say "I don't understand" without feeling stupid or guilty.

5. I have the right to say "I don't know."

6. I have the right to say NO without feeling guilty.

7. I do not have to apologize or give reasons when i say NO.

8. I have the right to ask others to do things for me.

9. I have the right to refuse requests which others make of me.

10. I have the right to tell others when I think they are manipulating, conning, or treating me unfairly.

11. I have the right to refuse additional responsibilities without feeling guilty.

12. I have the right to tell others when their behavior annoys me.

13. I do not have to compromise my personal integrity.

14. I have the right to make mistakes and to be responsible for them. I have the right to be wrong.

15. I do not have to be liked, admired, or respected by everyone for everything I do.

A simple reminder for me. and for others out there.

On dating

I have a friend who has never had any girlfriend since birth. And to think he is already 26 years old! I've been advising him to go out on dates and explore the singles community. There are a lot of ways of meeting people. There will probably more misses than hits but atleast he's doing something about his single status. It would be a much slower process if he just sits down and wait for the perfect girl to come into his life.

I know some friends who are into internet dating and enjoy getting to know different people through this medium. It may not be the usual way of meeting people and possibly finding the love of your life (or soul mate as some may claim), but let's not underestimate the power of love. No matter what the venue or medium of how couples meet, what matters is that they become honest and true to each other.

My guy friend is starting to try out this free dating site. His enjoying it so far and is hoping that someday (hopefully soon) he'll get to meet his perfect match! Well, I wish him luck! Everybody deserves to be happy and be loved!
