American Idol

This season really has a great batch of finalists. But I have to say, I was quite disappointed that Carley Smithson got booted out last week. I can think of 2 others who deserved to be booted out instead of her and that doesn't even include Syesha Mercado who also was part of the bottom two. Oh well, I guess the others really just have a lot of fans voting for them irregardless if their idol had a terrible performance.

I wonder who's going to win this season. Well, David Cook should better be part of the final two, if not the winner this season. I can't wait to see his next performance.

Back in grade school and a partly in high school, I wanted to be a doctor. It seemed like a pretty swell occupation. But I guess the long years of studying turned me off. Anyway, these days when I’m not feeling well, I would usually look for an online medical reference to understand what I’m going through just like when I have partial hearing loss as well as when I’m acidic and found out that I have may possibly have GERD. It’s really great to have all these online references, that even if you’re not a doctor you can still fully understand what it making you unwell and what possible treatments to undergo.

My sweetie loves drinking wine specially during special occasions. I guess we should have our own set of wine when we get to have our own place so there’s always a bottle ready when we have friends over. It’s actually a bit decorative, putting them on wine racks and can accentuate a room easily. Anyway, we still need to define our wine preference so we get to buy the ones which suit our taste buds. Do you have any recommendations?

statistical analysis

Back in college, I really loved statistics even if it’s computationally extensive. Statistical analysis really has a lot of benefits since you get to analyze your data and be able to extract important information from it. It’s just a bit hard doing manual computations especially if you have a lot of data points. Well, it’s just really great that there is an available budget software which can help you do all your computations and be able to perform variance analysis. This is great for evaluating your company’s performance. You might want to get this software and enjoy its benefits.

wrinkly

A lot cannot believe that my mom is already 58 years old. She looks so much younger than her age. Well, there are signs of wrinkles already, but still new acquaintances really can’t believe her real age. I think my mom is now on the look-out for the top wrinkle cream. I guess besides always eating healthy food and trying to exercise as regularly as possible, she does make use of those creams to make her skin look as young as possible. Well, I hope I age just as beautifully as she does.

electronics

Are you one of that tech-y type who is so into electronics and would usually buy the latest model out in the market. You probably have your own entertainment system at home, with a big plasma TV and with a very nice sound system to go with it. Oh well. That would be pretty cool to have and I can’t blame anybody for wanting to have those. I have seen a nice entertainment system at a friend’s house and it really got me drooling.

tubs

I have found some nice walk in bathtubs in the net and made me really wish that I have my own. It would make bath time such a more pleasurable experience. It’s nicer than the ordinary bath tub since you can sit more comfortably and be more covered with water. I have always loved tubs since it somehow relaxes you when lounging in it. It helps me free my mind and just let the warm water work its magic on my (usually) aching back. It can really be very therapeutic.

travel insurance

I miss traveling to a foreign country. Well, I’ve only been to Hong Kong and would love to visit more Asian places pretty soon, and probably even Europe. I know traveling can be quite expensive. Well, I would always consider it worth my money to get to see those wonderful places, meet other people, and experience their culture. Anyway, when traveling, I think one would consider getting a travel health insurance. It really has a lot of benefits. Well, it’s not that you’re expecting bad to happen, but it pays to be covered when such thing happens, right?

second hand car

I am trying to read more about cars lately. I am really hoping that my dad buys one pretty soon. It’s ok even if it’s just second hand. My mom actually likes to have an Innova so I hope we get to find a seller which can give us a pretty good deal. I’m just not sure if I would want to have an automatic or a manual one. I have read an article in the site of midwest auto recycling which really enlightens me a lot. I know it’s much easier to drive an automatic, but considering the other aspects, maybe having a manual one may prove more beneficial especially if we would be buying a second hand car.

I am starting to get addicted to soy milk lately. At first it tastes a little weird drinking it since it taste like taho. But when my taste buds got used to it, I was really diggin' it! I just bought 2 more bottles today! Well, I think it's helping me ease out my hyperacidity a little.

Everybody is looking for other ways of earning money. There are a lot of opportunities out there. Besides investing in mutual funds and stocks, you may want to have your own business instead of being an employee all your life. You might want to get a franchise so that you won’t have a hard time starting up your own business. It really helps when there’s a system in place already and you just have to adopt it.

Summer is definitely here! Can you feel how hot it is outside? I think in mid afternoon you can actually fry an egg. You can almost use the tap water for coffee. Oh well. I can’t wait for the hot weather to pass. I think one would better appreciate it when she’s at the beach, which I’m fortunately am not. Anyway, I guess what one can do is just to refresh one’s self. Take a shower every now and then and drink o premium waters. Drinking water is important so as not to dehydrate yourself. You don’t want to end up just losing consciousness because of too much heat.

a little catching up

It's so friggin' hot lately!

I decided to get outta the house and visit some old friends and go to ABS-CBN. I admit feeling a bit nostalgic walking again on those grounds. I did have a lot of good memories from my previous company. It was having to work in a company full of college friends.

It was nice doing a little catching up, but I'm sure I'll be back soon for a longer one.

Oh by the way, it was an additional bonus that I was able to see Lucky! Hahaha!

treatment needed

I pity my cousin for having a bad case of acne on his back. It really doesn’t look too good when you look at it. He has tried a lot of acne treatment already but would usually end up aggravating the acne more or getting rashes since he is also allergic to some reactive agents of those anti-acne soaps/ ointments. Do you have any suggestions how to treat acne? You might have encountered an effective product that you can recommend to my cousin.

Last week, I almost thought I lost my gold necklace. I really couldn’t remember if I wore it going to the province or if I just left it at home. It was good to know that it was the latter. But I really got so worried thinking that I lost it since that necklace is so important to me. It’s was bought more than 20 years ago. Besides the sentimental value, I know how much gold has become so expensive already. My parents really invest in gold as pieces of jewelry. Well, maybe my dad can look into buying a gold bullion with the retirement pay that he will soon be getting.

going camping

I would love to go to Anawangin. I have been researching a lot about the place and it really looks so interesting to go to. It’s definitely worth checking out. This place would really bring you back to the basics. Don’t expect any hotel here since the only place you’re going to sleep at is inside a tent. Which reminds me to look for some camping gear in case we do get to go to Anawangin.

My mom has started a new regimen: walking early in the morning. I should really be joining her but I can’t seem to wake up that early anymore since I have been sleeping so late (average is probably 2 am). I suggested she brings our dog when she walks around the village so the dog gets to exercise as well.

It turns out that our lazy dog couldn’t keep up with mom that at some point she had to carry her for some time since she didn’t want to walk anymore. She was panting so hard when they got home. The dog was so tired that for the whole day she just lazily slept and didn’t walk around much.

Get together

We recently went to Batangas for a family get together. It’s actually a celebration since my cousin just passed the board exam for physicians. She’s now officially a doctor. We’re all proud of her!

It was nice seeing my relatives in the province. I rarely get to see them. It’s just amazing that a lot have kids already. Of course, it was inevitable to be asked when my turn would be. It actually felt a lot of pressure. Well, it didn’t help that my sweetie didn’t go with us since he already had plans with his officemates that they would watch Pacquiao’s fight together.

Oh well. It was really nice seeing my cousins and their little kids. They’re all so cute! I want my own already! *sigh*

door problem

Our dog has been so crazy again lately. She just loves sleeping at my parents’ room. But because my mom is a bit asthmatic, and the dog is so furry, we don’t normally allow her to go in the room. Entertainingly, the dog is just to persistent that she would scratch and bang the door to my parents’ room so that she would be let in. It’s a bit irritating especially when she does it at the middle of the night when you have finally found your sleep. Unfortunately, their door now has a lot of scratch marks already that we might need to go to a door hardware to either look for something to protect the door or ultimately replace it.
