I’m really not too happy with the strengthening of the peso since we cannot really feel its benefits, it actually lessens my income since I get paid in dollars. It’s really ironic that despite the strengthening of the peso, the prices are still increasing. This really makes it hard for the people. It’s actually harder for OFW families since their remittances have decreased. Those who are keeping dollar accounts are at a loss now and are really disappointed with the performance of the US dollar. They kept dollar accounts thinking it would secure them a better future. Too bad the dollar is sinking. They should have invested in gold bars. Their bullions would have a higher value by now.
