thoughts

I thought I knew what I wanted. Go to a good school. Study hard to get good grades. Take a good course in college. Work for a multinational company and work your way up the corporate ladder. But somehow, somewhere along the way, I figured this isn't probably what I wanted. Yes, anybody can take pride in being part of a good company and for getting paid well. But then again, not all people working in multinational companies earning big money are happy.

Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with wanting to have a simple life. Does happiness really need to be pegged to how much money you have or how high your position is in whatever big company? Does it make you less of a person when you stop aspiring to be part of that rat race?
