Happy New Year!!!

Another year has gone. 2007 is definitely a memorable one for me.

It was last February when I decided to end my corporate career and enough guts to resign from my job. I had no specific plan yet what to do with my life, but I just know that I would be like wasting my time if I stay join the rat race.

I also did a lot of traveling this year. I guess it was partly soul searching, relaxing, and enjoying my freedom. I remember going to Manaoag alone on a whim then traveling to Baguio just in time for Panagbenga. I even went to Pagudpud alone and spent almost a week in that haven. Yeah, you can call it a celebration of freedom. I did those things because I can. A lot of people have money but they cannot do those things because they do not have the time.

Well, I didn’t always travel alone since I know it’s also fun traveling with friends and loved ones. I was able to go to Potipot Island with some of my sweetie’s friends during summer. Also, me and my sweetie was able to spend some quality time in Boracay which was really loads of fun.

This year, I also got into a very addicting hobby: Scrapbooking. It was really memorable that my first scrapbook EB was even on Scrapbooking Day (yep, there is an official scrapbooking day). It was a guilty pleasure spending on scrapbooking materials. As scrapbookers would agree, you can never have too much of scrapbooking materials. Whenever there are sales, scrapbookers usually end up not just shopping but HOARDING materials! I love this hobby since it is a venue for my creative side. I just hope for the coming year that I would be able to scrap more so that I can justify all my scrapbooking purchases. Well, other than the craft itself, I also love the fact that I am able to meet a lot of new friends. I just love surrounding myself with people who have passion (in this case, passion for scrapbooking).

This year, I also got into earning online and getting paid to blog. It can be considered as easy money, but you still need to exert some effort. So far so good since I’m earning good money without going to and 8hour job 5 days a week. There’s still a lot that I can do to optimize earning online so that’s something that I hope to do for this coming year.

This year I also got into wedding coordination. I admit it was Faye and Herbie’s announcement that they want me to coordinate their wedding which stimulated my mind to end my corporate career. I want to do what makes me happy and not just let myself be stuck at something people expect me to do.

I am looking forward to 2008. Hopefully it would be filled with more fun and adventures. May 2008 be prosperous for all of us!

Cheers to the year that has just passed and to this coming new year!

backgammon

What are the childhood games that you love playing? Well, I guess children nowadays have high-tech games already. Well, others are still the same childhood games but are now played through the internet just like backgammon online. Have you tried playing online backgammon? I would love to play backgammon soon just to relive those childhood games.

Wedding Ideas

Have you imagined how you want to get married? It’s funny that whenever I ask my hunnie about that he would always bring up riding on a horse on our wedding day and that I would be riding in a carriage. Yep, he is very particular of having a horse and riding like a prince charming. I don’t know if he is really serious about it (well, he did look serious) or was just really cracking me up. Well, we’ve got a couple of Wedding Ideas already. Hopefully we can come up with a unique (yet not so expensive wedding) that would be very memorable to us and to our relatives and friends.

Music back on2

I used to be such a music lover. I have more than 40 GB of mp3s! I even used to keep my media player open even when I’m sleeping (I had a sleeping playlist!). What happened to me? Why haven't I listened to my MP3's? I dunno. Well, guess what I’m doing right now? Browsing through my mp3’s and playing my favorite songs! It’s the only time that I realized that I miss listening to my favorite songs. Oh how I miss Montell Jordan and Tyrese!

Amazing Race Asia 2

I wonder who is going to win. I'm so tempted to search for spoilers. Hehehe! talk about emotional quotient! Well, of course my favorite is Marc and Rovilson. I have the hugest crush on Marc (I know you do to! Admit it!) I really enjoy watching the show because of them. Of course there are other teams with characters but of course, love your kababayan! Hehe! I love Amazing Race Asia 2!!!

invest in gold

Do you love jewelries? Some may view it as just an accessory and for aesthetic purposes. But the smarter ones view it as investments. The value of gold is appreciating as well as other precious metals. A lot are now into gold investing. You might want to know more about Monex Deposit Company where you can purchase silver, gold and other precious metals. You can trust them with your investments since they are considered the leader in precious metals investment for over 30 years. You might want to hurry up on investing since the trend of the demand is now exceeding production. Gold may be bought in coin or ingot form. Surely, buying these precious metals would be one way to preserve your wealth and actually grow it even more.

consolidate debt

I guess all of us, at least at one point in our lives, owe Debt to somebody. It really is not easy when you ran out of cash and would need a help from a friend, family member, or if you need a bigger amount, probably the bank. Sometimes when unfortunate things happen, like losing a job or somebody gets terribly sick and you encounter financial crises, our debts somehow piles up and we have a hard time paying all of them. Sometimes uncontrolled shopping spree gets us into this kind of trouble as well. I know how these things can make you very problematic. Well, I advise you to get Free Debt Consultation. There are a lot of sites offering help in terms of financial advice and Debt Consolidation. Of course you want to improve your credit scores or else you wouldn’t be able to loan some more or be able to avail of credit cards. I know how financial problems can get pretty ugly. It’s usually hard to get out of these kinds of problems so any help would be greatly appreciated. Check out their site to know more how they can help you out. Consolidate Debt and hopefully you’ll be able to manage your finances much better afterwards.

salsa

Don’t you enjoy watching couples do some salsa dancing? There’s just a certain sexy appeal to the salsa dance. Well, if you’re up to watching some salsa, why don’t you watch the world salsa championships? I am sure you would have lots of fun and you would surely be entertained! I would certainly be looking forward to it!

boat donations

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas to you and your families. The giving season is once again upon us. Even though the rush for the Holidays has already passed, your will to pass on holiday cheer should not be only for the month of December. After all, who said that Christmas should only be on December 25? Why not make it everyday? We don’t have to exhaust ourselves on looking for that cool gift. Everybody is in need of a little more simplicity in their lives nowadays. Let’s revive that “It’s the thought that counts” mentality. Cash and fruitcakes are good but strive to be a little different and take time to think out your mission in making even a small portion of humanity a tad bit happier.

Not all of us may be ready for this but one unique idea is to donate your old, non-working boat. You heard that right. Just take a look at what Boat Donations has created in their very colourful minds as a way of giving to charity. The way Charity Boat Donations has set this up is this: they get your old, non-working boat (they get it from your house and do all the paperwork for free), sell your boat on eBay, and use the money to make Children’s Christian Animation DVDs. These are Free DVDs. It’s the most unique way I found on the internet. Go ahead, check it out and have your fill of a unique idea.

It really is such a cool Free Logo and Business Card Creator. Your Custom Logo Design would surely be a big help for your company in terms of name and image recall. Check out the sample logos uploaded in their site so you can get inspiration from them. Of course you have to think about in detail to ensure that it is distinct and has easy recall. There are a lot of tips included in the site as well. Read more about corporate branding solution tips in the site. Visit their site and check out all what they have to offer. I’m sure it will be a big help in your business.

radiator

Cars need maintenance. One must pay attention to the kind of care that it needs so that it would not conk out on you. You must be aware when to replace parts like your Civic Radiator since it only has a certain life span. You would not want it to stop working when you’re on the road, right? You don’t have to wait for it to not work anymore since that would be a hassle. Well, in case you need to replace it already, you might want to consider radiator.com which holds over 80,000 inventory parts. You would surely get cheaper parts since you deal directly with the distributor, thus no middle man charges. That’s a lot of savings. It really is a good deal since you are sure to get quality products as well.

Marc Nelson

Isn’t Marc Nelson the hottest? He is just so yummy! I wish my boyfriend has his body! Hahaha! I know that’s wishful thinking! Him being in the Amazing Race Asia 2 really makes me not miss any of its episodes. I know a lot of viewers love their team. They’re my favorite! Marc just had this pretty face, has a great body, and a great personality to match! I wonder what his flaws are…

online school

Have you considered getting into those online phd programs? I guess it is a convenient choice especially if you are working and cannot afford to resign just to enroll in school. Even if you don’t resign, it would be too tiring to go to school after office hours. With the online schooling program you would just need to connect to the internet for your schooling. How convenient, right? You would be getting your phd in no time. Check out the site for the different options available. This accredited online school offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, health, human services, public safety, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, health, and public safety.

OB visit

I guess all female gets scared for that first OB visit. The rule is to just be honest. Feel free to ask questions. It’s better to hear it from the expert.

I was just really glad that my boyfriend accompanied me in my first OB visit. I actually had a scare of having ovarian cancer. He was there for me when I had an ultrasound to check it out. Good thing the result was negative.

Well visiting your OB is just one fear you have to overcome.

pimp your ride

Are you the type who pimps his car? Well, I know of some friends who are so into cars that God knows how much money they’ve spent on their prized possessions. There’s just a lot you can do to pimp your ride (that’s why I love watching that show in MTV). You can add a lot of stuff like some Dodge Charger accessories in case you have one of the most customizable vehicles on the market. You can really do a lot with your ride so have fun customizing!

options

Have you ever wondered how to play in the stock market? I know that some people really hit it big and have earned so much with their investments. I have actually attended a basic seminar regarding how to trade stocks. Oh boy! There’s just too much to learn. It’s not that easy as some would think since it would take a lot of analysis to determine where to invest, when to sell, and when to pull out. I know there are softwares available which are used in analysis. This educational material would serve as a great guide. As they say, it’s your best options express to find, compare, analyze, and make money.

My spot

Now that I don’t have an office to go to everyday, I usually just lounge at Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf which are my favorite places to hang out. I usually accomplish a lot of writing when I’m at these places. I’m actually a regular at a particular branch of these establishments that I already know most of their crew. I have also established a certain spot where I usually sit. Of course it has to be near an electrical outlet where I can plug in my laptop! Hehe!

wedding woes

I have this friend whose fiance’s family doesn’t like her to the point that they spoke to her to call of the wedding! Can you believe that?! They say it’s because they’re 100% Chinese and they want their brother to marry a Chinese as well. How selfish! The couple really loves each other, but it’s just unfortunate that the guy couldn’t protect his girlfriend from her family’s harassment since he is working in another country.

Faye and Herbie's Wedding

I've been wanting to blog about Faye and Herbie's wedding but just can't seem to find a photo to go with it, so abangan niyo na lang yung pictures

Here's the story:

It was January 2007, during their last vacation here, when Herbie and Faye asked me to coordinate their wedding. I really felt honored since it really meant a lot entrusting another person to take care of your wedding preparations. It was basically a night at Galleria when we talked about the initial plans and the rest were all discussed through constant YM and emails.

Before they left for Australia again, they have already booked Our Lady of Lourdes and Nurture Spa in Tagaytay as their church and reception venues, the rest of the suppliers, I had to source and make arrangements with. Everything was doing great, until the couturier bruhaha happened (just read it from faye's post). Anyway, thanks to Minette Santiago who was able to pull off making the pretty entourage's gowns even if we only booked her around middle of November (take note, the wedding was scheduled dec 22).

I was so excited when Herbie and Faye finally came home. Their schedule was packed and there were still some details we had to take care of. I guess hindi talaga maaalis ang cramming. The day before their wedding, we already checked in at Tagaytay and made all the last minute preparations. It took us time to finalize the seating arrangements, specially with some additions of military guests. Unfortunately, we all had to sleep at around 3:00 and had to wake up at 4:30. (I know I'm such a bad coordinator for making my bride sleep this late! But I swear, maaga pa lang pinapatulog ko na sya! Hehe!)

I wasn't really sleepy. I guess it was adrenalin rush pumping. I'm glad the suppliers weren't stuck too long in traffic going to Tagaytay along with a lot of people going home to their own provinces. First who came in was Andrea and Ramil, who are part of our team. Then came in EJ Litiatco and her team. Then the team of Rene Gaviola and Buddy Gancenia. At that time, we still weren't finished with the name tags and guest sheets. It's good that some of the guests also helped out. It was really nice seeing some pisay98 people again!

We then left for Nurture Spa to check out the place. Seeing the place not yet prepped up! There was not one single table arrangement set-up and there weren't anybody working on them! Robin was just working on the couple's table. I just had to hurry them up since we wouldn't be able to put the name tags, guest sheets and souvenirs without the tables set-up. Seeing the cupcake set-up made me smile, though, since it really looked so pretty! It was really a great decision getting Yumi to supply the cupcakes and to take care of the set-up. Kakatawa lang when she made a comment na napamahal daw sila sa roses since orange roses costs a little more than red ones. Buti na lang daw kakilala naman daw niya si Herbie kaya ok lang.

Anyway, with the late preparations at Nurture Spa, our schedule was pushed. Unfortunately, with all the hurrying up, I slipped on a slightly muddy part of the garden! It was just a good thing that I was still wearing jeans then and not my dress. Parts of my body felt really sore pero hindi pwede mag-inarte. We were running pretty late. We had to leave BJ to finish all the preps at the reception.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Faye and Herbie for the late start of the ceremony. It was pretty hard to stall the everything until the flowers and accessories arrive. *sigh* All stress was drained away the moment I saw Faye when we opened the door and the Sentimental Groove started playing Tunay na Ligaya, which was Faye's favorite. Hirap pigilan maging teary-eyed.

The reception was really fun, starting off with the couple's dance of Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko along with the games for the bouquet and garter. The food was great! There was even Lechong Baka, complete with mga nag-iihaw na naka-cowboy get-up (c/o herbie's dad!). I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the host, Rea Villanoza who did a great job as well.

I know there were a lot of imperfections and plans na hindi nasunod and had to be adjusted at the last minute. But hearing the speeches of the fathers and the thank you's of the couple and the raves of the guests really uplifted my spirits. I really hope everybody enjoyed the wedding.

Faye and Herbie is such a cool couple! I wish you guys many more happy years together!

Rax and Russel's Wedding

Here are some pictures from Rax and Russel's wedding last Dec 15 at Fernbrook. I have yet to blog the details of their wedding but I'm just really terribly busy lately. I still have another wedding this coming Saturday, this time in Tagaytay so there's really a lot of stuff to do pa. I'll keep you posted soon!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

We just got home from mass which lasted for more than 2 hours. I really love our parish church specially during this time of the year. The priest's sermon about the family really hit a lot of people. I know a lot were teary-eyed because of it. Even the candle ceremony was very meaningful. I just really feel blessed to have my whole family together. We may not have a perfect family but atleast we're still together and trying to understand and extend our patience regarding each other's quirks!

I'm happy for my sweetie's family as well since after so many years, his mom is back from Canada and they can celebrate Christmas together again. I'll be spending lunch with them on Christmas day which I'm really looking forward to since it's usually like a reunion for them where all the tita's, tito's and kids get together.

I just did some last minute shopping awhile ago with my sweetie. I really feel guilty not having to be able to spend so much time thinking and buying gifts due to my busy schedule. I just had 2 weddings in 2 weeks! I'm actually still sick right now and I don't have a voice and still got terrible colds.

Anyway, hopefully I'll get better soon. Hopefully everyone of us would enjoy Christmas day! I wish you all more blessings! I'm a little excited to do my year-end review just in time for New Year so watch out for that!

pop-up blocker

Have you experienced surfing certain sites which have those annoying pop-ups? For some who are not careful, they are usually lead to some porn sites or to some site advertisement. For some, it even spreads viruses when clicked. I’m just really glad that I know have a reliable popup blocker which I’m really loving since I wouldn’t have to worry anymore of those super annoying pop ups.

jewelries

It’s really hard to pick men's jewelry. I was thinking of giving my sweetie something nice but not tacky. Jewelry costs so much so one should really be very meticulous when picking a piece. Do you have some useful tips when picking one? I would really appreciate it. I love jewelries myself but it’s usually my mom or dad who buys them since they consider it as investments as well.

new laptop

It was really hard when my Toshiba laptop conked out on me. Spending 23k is just too much just for it to get fixed. I’m just really glad my dad brought home a new laptop. Well, it’s not exactly mine since it’s really for my mom, but since she doesn’t really use it that much, I’m the one using the new notebook computer. I really need it since I usually use it for meetings with my bride clients.

vacation

Wouldn’t you want to have a hassle-free vacation where all is left to do is just to simply relax and enjoy? Sometime you don’t get to appreciate much your vacation since there are a thousand things you need to think about and arrange. It would really be very nice to have an All Inclusive Cancun Vacations! I can just imagine just lounging on those hanging beds, sipping a fresh fruit shake and reading a good book. I can even just take a nice long nap there with the fresh wind gently breezing. That would be a really cool vacation to have especially after having so busy with work.

last minute shopping

Are you done with your shopping? It’s almost Christmas and I have barely started mine. Well, I know there are a lot of online shops like for volcom clothing who even offer Christmas gift deliveries. I think it would save me enough time to just shop online rather than brave the malls. I know it would certainly hard to endure the long lines and jam-packed malls.

precious rings

I have seen too many engagement rings lately, worn by soon to wed brides during wedding fairs. I have to admit getting a little jealous of their glistening diamonds. I guess more than the glitter, it’s the thought of finality of deciding who you will be spending your whole life with. I know how much those engagement and wedding rings can cost so it really doesn’t matter too much to me to get expensive ones. What matters most to me is the meaning of those rings.

free chat

There are a lot of sites offering free phone chat. With these free chat, you can meet a lot of new people all over the world. A lot have been burning those chat lines and enjoying it for free. writing services

Have you tried those custom writing services? I know there are sites where you can actually Purchase term papers. Of course this is not actually the one you submit but can be a great deal of a reference so you can write your own work. I guess sometimes it's all about getting writing inspiration. Everyone experiences writer's block and having these Report Writing Services available can surely get you going with your writing requirements.

backgammon

I miss playing backgammon. I remember playing it when I was younger. I know there are now available online backgammon wherein you can play for real money or for fun. If only I am not that busy, I would have played this game a little more often these days. Well, honestly, I really have to refresh myself on how to play this game. Of course tactics matters in order to win. Well, when my schedules gets a little free, I would probably try playing backgammon online.

thank god for truck lights

I remember having to go to a certain personal beach house in Batangas for our organization's semender party. It was actually late already and it was a new moon. We came to a point where it was rough road already and there were no lamp posts. It was pretty scary since I know we were lost already. There were no houses around to ask help with directions. It was pitch black if not for our truck lights. It seemed we went to far from the main road, that even our cell phone signal was dead already. Thank god for those truck lights or else we would have probably fallen from a cliff already. Well, we just had to turn and went back again to the main road and have someone fetch us from there. Good thing nothing bad happened to us.

real estate franchise

Are you thinking of your finances for your future. If you have corporate jobs, do you imagine yourself working for that company until you get old? Or would you rather have your own company to manage. It really is different when you have your own business you can really call yours. It may take a lot of time, money, and effort to put up ones business that's why some people take the path of franchising instead. There are different kinds of business to franchise. It's not just food and service. There are also now real estate franchise that you can consider.

another innovation

Aren't you amazed of the new technology coming up lately? You can never underestimate the power of technology. I recently came across of a site which is into plasma cutting. Their SR-45i is a 45 amp air plasma cutting system. This can work at 100% duty cycle, ensuring that no time is waisted between plasma cuts. Their power supply is designed in such a way that you can save time during installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. These are all equivalent to cost savings! Their models are economical, yet precise and reliable. These are certainly some factors that matter when buying these kinds of things.

The first step

At one time my boyfriend had a subtle addiction to coffee. No, it didn’t get to a point wherein he got into a drug rehab for caffeine, silly. Those days, he just can’t get away from it and he has to get his fill of 3 cups a day. At one time he could even go more than that when for most people, one is already enough. He said to me that there’s really nothing wrong with having more than the average. I realized it was a form of addiction when he was a little irritable and stressed when he didn’t have it at the right time. That’s when it dawned on me that he had been in denial that there was some sort of chemical imbalance in his system. At first it was hard for him to swallow but he took it well and he doesn’t need coffee anymore even if he works on night shift.

A drug treatment center will always emphasize that admission to oneself that there is a problem is the most difficult but most important part of the recovery process. StopYourAddiction is a referral service that truly keeps this part in mind. The alcoholism rehab has a five-stage cleansing and self-control process rolled into a 28-day program. The service isn’t out for any profit and is worth mentioning to people you know that may be in need of help.

real estate

One of the most important investments to make is probably to acquire property. Have you noticed the emergence of real estates all over the city and even nearby provinces? You might want to consider buying one of those real estates which are at their pre-selling prices. Most do this and then sells the property afterwards at a much higher price. Well, you may opt not to sell them and actually personally use it. There are a lot of nice ones being sold which you might be attracted to buy, just like those Wilmington NC real estate.

online casino

Have you tried playing on online casinos? I actually have when I was into poker a year ago. Of course I was careful in joining since you use your credit card online. I made sure to read the casino guide carefully so I know what I was getting into. They have service oriented support who replies quickly to my inquiries. They also email you casino news.

Hoteles

It’s great that nowadays customer service is really given a premium by hotels. Some even have Spanish-speaking individuals who handle Spanish guests. Cool, isn’t it? I think multilingual guest relations officers are plus points for Hoteles so that they can communicate better with different nationalities. This way, when foreign guests call in to inquire about room rates, amenities, as well as reservations, they would be able to talk smoothly and ensure that information is carried out efficiently. At least the language barrier is broken down and guests would be able to ask questions and they can be answered accordingly. It somehow gives a personalized guest handling experience which for sure that the guests would remember.

sleep tight

They say that you should make it a point that you use your bed only for sleeping and not for working. I know a lot have the habit of doing some of their paper stuff and other work related stuff. Studies show that somehow this factor affects one’s sleeping condition. Well, there are a lot of other tips to keep in mind with regards to getting a good night’s sleep. Of course, there’s getting the right mattress for you. Some would prefer it too soft, while some a bit hard. It really depends on one’s preference.

rental property investment

A lot have ventured into real estate. It may take a some hard work but if you get to close a deal, it's like hitting the jackpot in a slot machine due to the commission that you would be getting. There are a lot of opportunities in real estate. Some go into rental property investment. Investors would buy real estates and then rent out the place. Others buy and develop real estates and then sell it at a higher price.

sports

Are you into sports? Well, it's usually a guy thing but who says women don't enjoy sports just as much as men do? I admit to be a fan of UAAP even if my school isn't one of the top teams. I remember watching fondly the games and keeping up with the standings. Of course the Ateneo - Lasalle rivalry is pretty much amusing so I never miss out on their games. I'm also a bit fond of the World Series. It would really be great if I can have my hands on some world series tickets. I'm sure I would enjoy watching the games live!

I love Connie Talbot!

I really love Connie Talbot! She's got the most amazing voice for a 6 year old! And to think that she never got formal lessons! That angelic voice could instantly melt anybody's heart! I actually can't help but get tear eyed everytime I hear her sing! It's such a great news when I learned that Connie Talbot already released her first album which includes the following songs:

1. Somewhere over the Rainbow
2. I believe
3. White christmas
4. Smile
5. Imagine
6. Walking in the air
7. Favourite things
8 Wonderful world
9. Ben
10.I will always love you
11.Silent night
12.I have a dream

I wouldn't mind getting her album as a gift (hint! hint!) Hehe!

gifts to give

I've been slowly doing my Christmas shopping. I'm terribly busy this month, but I still make it a point to allot time to buy gifts for my loved ones. I'm still contemplating what to give my parents since I want to make sure that they will like it very much, yet wouldn't hurt my wallet too much. I'm thinking of gifts to give to my closest friends. I'll probably give some maternity clothes to one who just got pregnant, and some baby stuff to one who just gave birth. Oh well. I hope I get to finish my shopping soon. I'm excited to do the wrappings already!

Are you planning to buy a new car? What car would you want? There’s just a lot to choose from nowadays. Do you want an automatic or manual? What model do you want? What brand? How much budget do you have? If you’re around the area, how about considering Used Cars San Antonio has to offer. You can visit their website so you can check out the cars that they have. It’s so efficient and hassle-free to shop for a new car, right? You just have to log on in the internet and you can view the different cars that you can choose from.

crunch time

I've got very busy days ahead of me because of the three weddings. It's crunch time. I admit it can be tiring, but I enjoy these kinds of things. I feel honored to be a part of one of the most special days for my couples. I just really hope everything works out great. I hope we cover even the smallest details and deliver the kind of wedding that my clients imagine their wedding to be. Oh well, times like this I just really hope that I have a car so that I wouldn't have a hard time going to the different places to meet up with my clients and suppliers.

fernbrook

Oh my God! We went to Fernbrook last friday and we were surprised to see that they're not yet done! And to think they had a scheduled blessing the following day! My bride panicked a little. I can't blame her! It's just a good thing that it's still 2 weeks before their wedding there. Hopefully by that time the place would be a little bit closer to what they have advertised it to be. Well, it's vandolph's wedding today there. I hope they show it in TV so I can get a glimpse of the developments of the place.

slot machines

You are definitely stressed out when you start Googling the internet for tips on how to cope with stress just as I did. Lo and behold I found a site with lots of tips. One tip that struck me the most is to play games. But I know one site which has its members coming back. I like to play online poker but I also like to play slots. As much as the layman says it is based purely on luck, there are strategies that one can use in order to maximize his profits. If you just stay out of addiction, playing slot machines can be a great way of de-stressing yourself when you get home. How about you, have you tried playing with a slot machine?

against drugs

Having someone you love get into drug addiction can really be emotionally challenging. Facing the problem can really be difficult. A lot have a hard time dealing with it, not knowing what to do to help your loved one.

I knew someone who was into it. It was indeed hard to interact with him without feeling a little awkward knowing what he is into. He is an intelligent man which makes it extra surprising of his addiction. I wonder what made him start doing it. They say, it sometimes just really takes once and you just really might get addicted to it and look forward for the next hit. Everybody is talking behind his back and somehow feel pity of how he is destroying his life. I used to think he is one of those who have a great future ahead of him, but I guess if he continues with addiction, he’s like throwing his future already.

I just hope his family would be strong enough to put him into a drug rehabilitation program. I know getting a drug rehab is not the easiest thing to do, but if not done as soon as possible, it just might be a little extra hard to get him that drug treatment that he badly needs.

I hope more drug rehabilitation institutes be formed so that they will be more accessible. Better programs and housing facilities should be given focus in order to assure the effective treatment of the patients. I wonder how one can ensure that the patient would not be going back to his addiction. I can just imagine how hard it is during the first few days of the patient inside the rehab. I guess this is why they make it a point to really beautify the place and provide alternative activities so that the patient can keep his mind off his addiction and just divert it somewhere else.

plasma

I've been drooling over those plasma TVs for quite some time already. I know it's not really a necessity, but that is definitely one of the things at the top of my list to of things which are nice to have! It's just really a bit costly so it might take a bit of time when I would be able to get my hands on time on it! But I can just imagine how much fun it would be watching my favorite DVDs there especially with a nice sound system. I saw some plasma lifts as well so that they would be properly mounted. You might as well optimize the plasma experience, right?

rehabilitation

We have a neighbor who was said to be a drug addict. He was just about around my age too. There were a lot of rumors about him and his addiction. One time he suddenly just disappeared. It was said that he was put in a drug rehabilitation center due to his worsening addiction. I think it did him good since after a few months he was back again and looking really healthy. He even started volunteering in the Church. I'm happy for him that he was able to fix his life and was able to get over his addiction. I wish him well.

hawaii!

If I can have my way I would like to spend Christmas somewhere else this year. I would like to experience how other people spend their Christmas in other parts of the world. It would probably be nice to go to Hawaii. Do they have special luaus for Christmas? A vacation in a Hawaii bed and breakfast would really be nice and would be a new experience. I can just imagine the leis and luau dancers and the sumptuous food. Oh well. I hope I can visit Hawaii someday!

vacation

My dad will be arriving soon from Dubai! I'm so excited primarily because I will be seeing him again after almost a year. It's just great that he schedules his vacation every year during the Christmas holidays. I'm extra excited this year because of the new laptop and underwater camera! Well, I think my dad will be extra busy during his vacation since he's starting to build a computer shop in our hometown in Batangas. I just hope things go well and the business becomes successful so that he wouldn't have to work abroad anymore.

more shopping!

more shopping!

Dokyu fest (part1)

I recently posted about the I-witness Dokyu Fest at the UP Film Institute. I actually attended it yesterday and I'm glad I did. I have vowed to myself to try to make it a point to open up myself to self-enriching activities. The documentaries were done magnificently. They were very much eye-opening.

The first one was about fraternities and the recent tragedy that fell on Cris Mendez. It was enraging to know that the Sigma Rho fraternity hasn't even given any statement about it. As they say, the silence even more affirmed their guiltiness. The documentary showed some interviews of one of those who was convicted for the death of Alex Icasiano who also died from hazing. He was from Sigma Rho's rival frat, Alpha Phi Beta. What sets them apart is that they admitted their guilt and faced the consequences of their actions. It was moving to see the interview of Alex's mother who have forgiven those who have caused his son's death. I just really hope that those guilty people who caused Cris' death would come out and face the consequences of their stupid actions.

almost over

The year is almost over and I still have a lot on my list of things to do. I guess I would be extending my allotted for enjoyment before I really seriously save up for a wedding. I really want to enjoy my life before I go into the next chapter of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I do really want to get married soon and have children, but I just don’t want it to happen that by that time I’m in that phase that I would look back and wished of doing things that I really wanted to do.

finances

I admit not to be good in handling my finances. I guess there’s that voice inside me which always wants to pamper myself. Probably that’s why I would often ride the cab lately instead of riding other public transportations and probably why it didn’t matter too much to me if I spend on food. Oh well. I know others would have issues on how I spend my money, but then again, this is my money and I have every right to spend it the way I want to.

iWitness Dokyufest

UP Pagdumala invites you to watch
iWitness Dokyufest

five of the best iWitness documentaries will be shown including:

Lukayo: Hindi ito bastos! by Howie Severino
Seeking out Ramon Obusan, the new national artist for dance, Howie Severino and his team discovered that he has also been among the most ardent chroniclers of Philippine taboos, including headhunting and the ritualistic desecration of the dead.
Among hundreds of tapes in his eclectic house is vivid documentation of various rituals involving phalluses, giant artificial penises that symbolize everything from fertility to Judas.
After showing Howie's team footage of a bizarre, rapturous wedding ritual featuring lolas wielding phalluses, Obusan took them to its source, deep in what has traditionally been NPA country in the Sierra Madre highlands.
There they met typical rural grandmothers tending to fields and patients as barangay health volunteers. But on the day of a local wedding, they are transformed into uninhibited wenches, dressed like clowns and teasing newlyweds with wooden male organs taken out of their hiding places.
The newly assigned parish priest does not approve, and wants to stop it.
Howie Severino's documentary will make us wonder not only about the fate of this age-old custom, but about our definition of what is taboo, the purpose of such traditions, and how the past intersects with our present.

Dr. Nurse by Sandra Aguinaldo
Come 2020, the United States will need 1 million new nurses, opening the floodgates for many more aspiring Filipinos.
But the American Dream is limited not only to Pinoy nurses. Because of the massive demand for nurses in the U.S. , even doctors in the Philippines are choosing to take up nursing. The current starting rate for nurses is $24-26 per hour, ensuring a whopping P200,000 a month salary for would-be nurses to the US .
I-Witness host Sandra Aguinaldo documents the lives of two doctors-turned- nurses, called “M.D.R.N.’s” in New York .
Dr. Elmer Jacinto, a topnotcher of the 2004 medical board exams, now works as a full-time nursing staff for two New York hospitals: St. Vincent’s Hospital and Cabrini Medical Center, both located in Manhattan . He works hard to take home the equivalent of two paychecks for his family. But with the impending closing of these hospitals, his job security is at risk.
Yaffa Ramos, also a Filipino doctor, gave up her medical practice to work in a nursing home in Long Island, New York . Her main reason for leaving: from her previous salary of P10, 000 a month as a doctor, she now earns more than P150, 000 as a nurse!
But are these doctors turned nurses really satisfied with the choice they made?
Sa Mata ni Ekang by Kara David
This I-Witness documentary presents the shocking family situation of a three year old girl named Ekang. Her father earns a living as a holdupper, her mother as a sex worker. When her parents are out at night, Ekang is cared for by her grandmother - who is a pimp - and her jobless uncle. At this tender age, Ekang can already toss around swear words like the older members of the family.
Strangers visit Ekang’s home at all hours of the day and night. Though the toddler does not realize it yet, these visitors rent part of the house as a shabu den … where they can freely indulge in their vice.
Kara David gets to know Ekang, her father, mother, grandma and the rest of the family in this I-Witness documentary.

P36: The 36-Peso Challenge by Jay Taruc
36 pesos is the amount a Filipino should have everyday in order to go beyond the poverty line.
The number is the result of a nationwide study by the World Bank and the National Statistical Coordination Board on what is needed to survive in the Philippines . P13,113 per person annually or P36 a day divides the haves from the have nots.
But is 36 pesos really enough for a Pinoy not to be officially called poor? Is it enough for a healthy and dignified lifestyle?
In an experimental documentary, Jay Taruc finds out just how far 36 pesos can actually go. He issues the P36 challenge to Filipinos from different economic backgrounds – a teacher, a jeepney driver, a middle class employee, a student and a congressman. Their ingenuity, their priorities, and their discoveries are followed by Jay and his cameras.
Jay tries the experiment himself and realizes the theoretical aspects of poverty can be painful when tried out in real life

Brod is thicker than water by Howie Severino
A true tale of two frats, two victims, two mothers …
During the four Sundays of September, along festive Taft Avenue , thousands have taken the bar exams to become lawyers and future leaders of the country.
Hazing victim Cris Mendez had dreamt of going to law school and someday passing the bar. Instead, he was buried on the first day of the bar exams.
In the intense month of taking the bar and soul-searching over Cris's death, I-Witness’ Howie Severino explores UP Law, the nation’s leading law school -- now known for fraternities that produce both leaders and killers.
Unable to find the suspected fraternity, Sigma Rho, Howie spends time instead with the frat’s archrival, Alpha Phi Beta. Some of the APB brods were convicted for the 1998 hazing death of Alex Icasiano and spent up to two years in prison. One brod talks movingly about the stigma of being an ex-convict in law school.
Was there justice? Could this be a road map for Sigma Rho? Howie asks the mother of Icasiano, the APB neophyte who died. She describes the hard path to the conviction and ultimately forgiveness, and her relationship with the frat today -- which counts two Supreme Court justices and rising stalwart, Senator Chiz Escudero, in addition to her son among its proud roster of brods.
In a moving scene of the documentary, Mrs. Icasiano meets Cris Mendez’ mother for the first time to offer her condolences. Howie for his part finally comes face to face with Sigma Rho brods and is surprised by the kind of men he meets.
It gives him hope that Sigma Rho will eventually choose to do the right thing.

This will be on November 28, Wednesday,2pm at the UP Film Institute. Tickets at P45 only.

no more page rank

I’m sorry, but I’m really hating Google right now for taking away all our page ranks. It wasn’t that easy to have a wide readership and have people visit your blog. I know page rank is so important to people who get paid to blog. It may sound over reacting, but they did destroy a lot of people’s plans because of what they did. A lot of people who get paid to blog use this money to make ends meet or are used for something like for medications of sick loved ones. I just really hate the thought that they are playing God!

love endures

Me and my sweetie have been in too many petty quarrels. Our relationship has been challenged too many times. We have decided a little too many times to go separate ways but somehow we always manage to conk our heads and have that realization that we just can’t live our lives without each other. Despite all the imperfections, life is so much happier with the other around. I just really hope we do work things out.

gastric band

Are people becoming more vain? Or are we just becoming more health conscious? With all the health spas and different kinds of body treatments becoming available, I guess more people are becoming enticed to give them a try. I guess with everybody’s busy lives, our health should be given the extra attention that it deserves and need. Statistics have shown the big increase in obese people all over the world. And I guess with this statistic a lot of options are being offered in order to address this problem. For extreme measures, you can try out liposuction or gastric band. There’s really a lot to choose from. But I think of all this options, gastric band is more long term.

more scrappy stufff

I can’t believe how much scrapbook materials I have accumulated in just a span of 2 weeks. Yep, I have been on a shopping spree lately. Blame it on the scrapbook sale by some suppliers. Last week was at a 20% off! Of course I had to take advantage of that, right? And with all the demos done on how to use certain tools, my shopping list just got longer since I wanted to try out those really nice stuff too! Oh well. Looks like I’ll be scrapping more these days to justify all my scrapbooking spending!

chocoholic

My throat hurts a lot lately. This is probably due to all the chocolates that I’ve been eating lately. I guess I’m just too hard headed. I know eating too many sweets is bad for me. If only I would have enough discipline to control my eating habits and opt to eat more nutritious alternatives, then maybe I would be able to lose those unwanted flabs and be able to maintain a normal blood sugar.

Dumaguete

I am going to Dumaguete in January with my mom! I just got free accommodations at the Days Hotel in Bais. I am so excited! I just need to finish all my weddings then I would planning for the itinerary of our trip already. I want to go dolphin watching! I also want to go to Apo Island! And probably sail to Siquijor even just for a day. What’s more exciting is that I would have my underwater camera by then so expect a lot of pictures!

beauty schools

One of the suppliers needed to source out for one’s wedding is the hair and make-up artist. Of course every bride would want to look her best on this very special day and that would be highly affected by how her hair and make-up stylist would do her. Of course you do not want to look like a clown so you really should leave this to the experts. I have interacted with a lot of these artist and their stories really amuse me. Some are just self taught, others have previously worked at salons and beauty parlors while some have even gone to beauty schools from other countries. I really admire these artists for their passion in their own chosen craft.

photography class

Too bad I have a busy schedule lately. I have been wanting to enroll at a photography class but I just couldn’t fit it in my schedule. I do not want to enroll and miss one of the sessions. Oh well. I hope early next year I can push through with it already. I haven’t been able to do some photo trippings lately. Hopefully I can go to one soon. I promise to post the pictures!

geeks

I am excited for my sweetie! He just got a new laptop from his mom who just arrived from Canada. It’s just pretty cool that it is the same model as what my dad has bought (although I would be getting mine by Dec 1 when he gets back for a vacation from Dubai). I can just imagine me and my sweetie hanging out at coffee shop with our identical laptops! Hehehe! We’re such geeks!

baby shops

I am trying to list down how many god children I have already. Apparently I got a long list already! I wonder what I would give them for Christmas. Of course I got a limited budget so giving cash is out of the question. I would have to think of budget gifts which do not look cheap and which they would actually appreciate receiving for Christmas. I should probably start looking around toy stores and baby shops as early as now so I would have enough time to find the perfect gift for them. I want something that they can actually use and enjoy. I already have some gifts in mind, I just hope they fit my budget. Wish me luck!

Nicholas Sparks

I just saw in the newspaper that Nicholas Sparks has a new book! I hope I can get my hands on that pretty soon. I still have a lot of Paulo Coelho books to finish, though. I really enjoy reading books! I’m just glad I have more time now to indulge in reading these books. Do you have any suggestion of other nice books that are must-reads? I would appreciate it if you can share your list!

One More Chance

I have just recently watched One More Chance! And I really enjoyed it! Of course some tears fell while watching it. The highly improved acting skills of Bea and John Lloyd were definitely apparent from this film. They really have such great chemistry together. I also like Maja’s acting. It was so convincing. It’s actually one of her scenes where I got a bit teary eyed. Well, if you haven’t seen this film I suggest that you watch it pretty soon!

getting cold

Have you noticed that it's starting to get cold already? I love this kind of weather. Although it makes a little extra hard to get up at night. It somehow makes you crave to cuddle up with someone under the blanket or drink some nice hot cocoa. I wonder when I will get to experience snow! Having a nice white christmas would be pretty nice.

Thursday, November 15, 2007

Busy

My schedule has been pretty hectic lately. I'm not complaining since deep down inside I love being busy. What's just great this time is that I love what I'm busy with and not just some work which I dread doing. I'm really excited for my three weddings this coming December. I hope everything works out as planned. And I just really hope that it doesn't rain!

credit card balance transfer

Do you have a lot of unpaid dues on your credit card statement? Having a hard time paying them off? Is the interest rate of your credit card company killing you? Does your debt keep on growing and growing because of the interest? Well, you might want to consider getting a Credit Card Balance Transfer. This would be a little easier for you to pay off your credit card debts. The longer it doesn’t get paid, the bigger your debt becomes due to interest charges that you have to pay. At least when you have a credit card balance transfer you’ll have a little breather.

The best price for a car

I've always admired a Honda for its well-engineered engine and interiors. These days, I've been saving up extra bucks to get a new one. It would be awesome if I could locate the best deal in the market for a particular car. There are a lot of Honda dealers out there who offer great prices. But would not it be nice if you could see what all the dealers have to offer for a particular model? Would not it be cool if the dealers would compete against each other for your business and therefore offering you the best deal possible?

It's great and it's all made possible by CarsBlvd with these great Honda Car Quotes. This link works by comparing Honda Car Prices for Honda Cars in a fraction of the time spent in manual price canvassing. It's all online and what's great about it is that it's all for free. Not a single nickel will go out of your pocket for their services. Naturally, when these dealers are getting out of their way in offering you their best price possible, you will never get to pay the full price for a brand new car. That in itself is making me salivate for a brand new SUV or CR-V or Civic.

All about loans

We've all been there a few times in the past. There are just those moments when the money you have is just not enough to get you through. My friends who have migrated to other countries especially understand this. I hear stories about them being in situations wherein a need for cash is just the order of the moment. Here's where a good loan certainly makes sense.

For me, a good loan which has been carefully thought of is a sign of financial maturity. It is also wise to consult professionals about which loaning company is best for you. Fortunately, there is a way if you're in the UK!

Brits have an easy time getting emergency cash with Payday Loans from Roberts Bridge. This financial matching service will look for a loaning company which is very much tailored to fit your needs. Try the site and you will also find a link for USA residents. With speedy online applications approved within 24 hours, you are virtually guaranteed peace of mind. You may also try loans in Cash Advance and Salary Advance forms. This company can find you a loan as much as 750 pounds. Now that in itself is very impressive in terms of service.

password keeper

Do you just use one password in all your emails and log-in? Well, that is not really advisable. But of course I understand how hard it is to track all the passwords that you use if you have different ones. I hope I’ll have a password keeper so that it would be much easier. It’s hard coming up with different passwords and it’s hard remembering all of them. I usually mix them all up. Sometimes my accounts have been locked due to the numerous trial and error passwords that I have put in since I couldn’t remember which one is for what. Well, hopefully I wouldn’t have this kind of dilemma again.

starstruck

Do you get starstruck when you see actors and actresses in person? Are you the type to go up to them to get their Autograph or don’t really mind their presence? How many Autographs have you collected already? I know some of these can really be valuable. This goes for singers and sports icons as well. A Signed Photo can be a collectors’ item and could cost a fortune. I have a friend who has this small scrapbook which she carries everywhere she goes so that she’s always ready to get autographs whenever she sees these famous people. It’s a little amusing seeing her collection of autographs. She keeps separate scrapbooks for her favorite stars where she puts their signed photos and other memorabilia of all their encounters. Well, I’m really not the type to get autographs. I just love staring at them and observe how they are in real person. If I really like the star I’d probably get a photo with him/ her. I’ve got another friend who posts all his pictures with different actors, actresses, and singers in his friendster. He has quite a collection already. Well, it’s good that these stars do permit photo ops. But I know some who get snobbish. Well, those are not worthy to give attention to.

HDMI cables

I noticed that a lot were talking about HDMI cables especially after a release of PS3. It really does make a difference and looks much better if you upgrade your cables. You just really need to know where to find a great deal. Some have been selling HDMI cables for a fortune but if you know where to look you’d certainly save a lot of money. Try checking out firefold.com.

weddings

I love planning for weddings! I think it is one of my callings! I have super fun discussing with brides and planning for their dream wedding. Of course every bride wants their wedding to be unique and memorable. Every detail is looked into. From the menu, the flowers, the songs to be played, the personalized wedding favors, the gown, etc. There are really lots to think about. This is one momentous occasion so every bride wants it to be as perfect as they have dreamed it to be. Sometimes it really gets overwhelming, but when the day comes you would know it was all worth it.

christmas decorations

Christmas is just around the corner. Our family would be putting up our Christmas tree and snowman decorations pretty soon and get that holiday spirit going. I love decorating the house. I hope we get new decorations this year. It really makes a difference having the house decorated. It somehow automatically gives you that certain happy feeling. More than anything, I really enjoy it when the whole family is helping each other put on the decorations. It’s such a nice family tradition.

Tagaytay visit

I went to Tagaytay again last Thursday to do some wedding errands. I met up with the parents of one of my brides so that I can give them the invitations. It was really cool hanging out with them. We also visited the houses that they will be staying at before and after the wedding. They also accompanied me to the church so that I could have the misalette checked. I had fun and I accomplished a lot of tasks that day. I just really love the ambiance of Tagaytay. It was the first time, though, that I saw it very foggy. You can't even see Taal!

radiator

Are you in need for a new Ford Radiator? Well, I suggest you check out Radiator.com. It is said to be the leading online source for radiators and cooling components. You’re sure to get quality products. Also, they come with the lowest possible price. They also give guaranteed lifetime warranty. Isn’t that great? Their expertise and great customer service would certainly live you a satisfied customer. So in case you would be needing a new radiator, you know where to look for it. Go directly to radiator.com and avoid getting a middleman. That is the usual cause why the price usually shoots up.

Starbucks planner

I am excited with Starbuck's new planner. I love the leather cover and the fact that it is refillable so you can use it for the succeeding years. Hopefully I get to acquire all the stickers needed. I just find the praline mocha and toffee nut a little sweet for my taste. Oh well. I actually have 9 stickers left to collect. Hopefully by next week I will be able to get my new Starbucks planner already!

scrappy stuff

I am so excited with all my new scrapbook stuff. Hopefully with all my new tools, patterned papers, embellishments, and all those nice scrapbook stuff, I will be more inspired to making new layouts. Right now, I am at middle of a project. I am making this mini book for my sweetie's mom who would be arriving next monday. Hopefully I get to finish it and that it would turn out as nice as I would want it to be.

mexico vacations

Are you planning to go on a vacation this coming Christmas holidays? Where do you plan to go to? Well, if I can have my way, I would really travel. I would love to explore not just our country but others as well. There is so much to see out there. I’ve been browsing the internet which places are nice to visit. Well, besides making an Asian tour and a European tour, Mexico Vacations seem enticing as well. I didn’t know there were a lot of nice places to go there. I’ll definitely put them in my list of places to travel to.

Scrapbooking EB

I really had lots of fun at the scrapbooking EB last saturday. I was able buy some scrapbook materials I've been wanting to buy. It was hard to resist those goodies that I obviously exceeded my budget again. I learned a lot from the demos. I even won a prize for the minibook challenge. It was nice hanging around with those ladies. They really are very passionate with the craft. Their layouts were very inspiring. I hope I would be able to make layouts like those!

spending problem

I admit to have a spending problem. I have recently just paid off my credit card dues, which has actually reached its limit already. But now I'm on my to a card swiping frenzy again. I have just bought 5 Paulo Coelho books, more new shirts, a lip and cheek tint from body shop, and more scrapbooking stuff!! I guess I always find a way to justify my spending. I buy things I feel I deserve. Oh well. I just hope I get to discipline myself more so I would not end up in too much debt.

wedding planning

I’m into wedding coordination. I actually have 3 weddings this coming December. Wedding Planning is really very fun. This moment happens only once in a lifetime. (well, unless you plan to get married again on your golden anniversary or if you want to get married with somebody else). I know how brides enjoy planning their dream wedding. I guess all women look forward to this special day. Oh well. I wonder when it is going to be my turn. I hope it would be pretty soon since I want to have a baby already. In God’s perfect time I know everything will fall into place.

car rental

Do you love to travel? Which countries have you been to already? Have you been to Israel? Well, just in case you will travel in that part of the world and would need to get a Car Rental in Israel, look for Shlomo. You’ll certainly get quality service. It's one of the oldest and leading vehicle company. They already have around 20 branches all over the country.

care home

I know that Filipinos are very family oriented. It is normal to live with our parents and even extended families. I remember growing up with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents in just one house. It can be fun and a little bit of a riot at times. There was a time when my grandparents were sick and that was really a hard time for our family. We could’ve gotten extra help for the medical care and attention that they needed but we couldn’t afford it. Having home care would have been great.

I know in other countries it’s more popular to bring the older ones into a care home. It’s not really that bad when I think about it since they would be given more attention and they will be more taken cared of. But this doesn’t necessarily mean abandoning your loved ones. Nobody is stopping you to visit them there every once in awhile. They would certainly appreciate your presence.

nazareth

Do you know the nazareth history? A lot of devouts actually want to go and visit nazareth jerusalem. It's considered a holy place since it is where Jesus Christ was born. Well, if I have the chance I would also want to visit the place. I know my mom would definitely want to go there and visit when she retires. She is also planning to visit the Vatican City.

right job for you

How long after graduation from college where you ale to find a job? For some it was early and even got one before graduation. While for others, it took them quite some time before they found one. Some had help from an executive placement company for them to find the right company for them. I know it is not an easy task finding the right one. I know some friends who kept on changing companies since they just would not find the right fit. It really is hard to stay in a company where you are not happy. It’s just a great thing that there are companies who help people fin the company where you’ll be more suited to work in.

christmas decorations

Christmas is just around the corner. Our family would be putting up our Christmas tree and snowman decorations pretty soon and get that holiday spirit going. I love decorating the house. I hope we get new decorations this year. It really makes a difference having the house decorated. It somehow automatically gives you that certain happy feeling. More than anything, I really enjoy it when the whole family is helping each other put on the decorations. It’s such a nice family tradition.

checking account

I’ve been mostly doing the payments to suppliers for the full coordination wedding that I am arranging. The couple is in Australia that’s why. They just send the money which I withdraw using an ATM. Sometimes it’s a little scary carrying big amount of money since you can never tell when some thief can be lurking around and you just might be the next victim. Having a checking account can really come in handy to avoid this. It’s so much safer issuing checks instead.

card games

Do you love playing cards? What card games do you play? I love playing all sorts of card games, ranging from hearts, poker, spades, solitary, trumps, speed, and a lot more. I enjoy playing with the computer, or for real, or with other players from different countries online. I think to be able to be a constant winner in card games require a little bit of smartness. I would not just call it luck since playing those games also requires some thinking process. Like some would say that there’s a science to winning these games. There are a lot of materials available as reference on tips on how to win card games just like poker. I did read some of these when I was playing online poker. It did help me improve my games. I needed all the tips I can get so I would have more chances of winning. It’s really different when you play for money. I don’t want to lose so much money on online casino. I make sure that I give myself a limit to the maximum amount of money that I can lose. Playing can really be fun and addicting so it’s important that you learn to discipline yourself as well.

selling footages

Are you one of those budding film makers or cinematographers? I know how expensive it can get to produce a short film. Well, you can actually cut down a bit your expenses by getting royalty free stock footage so that you wouldn’t have to shoot every part of the film. These are available for sale via the internet. Some advertising agencies make use of these footages. This is how some cinematographers make money, buy selling some of their footages royalty free. This is really less hassle for them and for the buyer. From the sales of their clips contributors receive 50% of the net revenue and they are paid monthly.

custom essays

Lately I’ve been having writers’ block so sometimes I don’t get to finish all the writings that I should be making. I think everybody experiences this situation every once in awhile. That must be tough when you were in college and you’re tasked to make essays and research papers. Well, you can actually buy an essay. You can get custom essays and custom research papers. You’ll surely get quality writing which are plagiarism free.

loans

Have you tried applying for loans? I know sometimes it's a tedious task due to all the requirements that you have to submit. Have you heard of Faxless Payday Loans? I know it's a little too good to be true, but there is such a thing. Applying for loans have now become more easy. It's really great that you have somewhere to run to whenever you can't seem to stretch your budget until the next payday. That usually happens when there is an unexpected expense in the household, like somebody getting sick or stuff related to that. I hope I don't get into that kind of emergency. But just in case, it's a little bit calming to know that we can apply for loans to help us get through those tough times. I hope I'll have enough budget for the coming christmas season. My christmas list just keeps getting longer and longer. Oh well. I really need to be more smarter when it comes to shopping. I admit sometimes I have a hard time controlling myself

Do you have a business of your own? Either online or not, you might want to take advantage of Mailing Lists so that you can better reach your target market. Having access to these enables you to send them emails about your product and/ or services offered. Having these mailing lists ensures that your information gets to the people who are most likely going to patronize what you have to offer. You don't have to waste money on advertising to people who are highly improbably to be interested. Being able to capture your target market is one of the challenges in becoming successful in your business since if you fail in this, your sales would suffer. A lot businesses have been taking advantage of these mailing lists and vows that their sales indeed increased.
