rugby

A rugby game is really fun to watch. No wonder a lot has become addicted to the sport. There are tournaments being set up where teams battle each other. I hope I can try playing the game. It would surely break out a sweat out of me, which is really great since I know I need to lose lots of pounds. Doing cardio workouts like playing sports would really do me good to make me fitter. I would rather play sports rather than slave myself in the gym. I find it more fun since you also get to interact with other people. Well I know I’m not yet an expert at the game. I don’t even know much about the rules. Maybe I can read more about the sport. Hopefully I can find some friends who are also interested in the game and play it with me. That would be a fun way to spend the weekend. I’m sure a lot of them would love to keep fit in a fun way too.

air balloons

I would really really love to go to the 12th Hot Air Balloon Festival at Clark, Pampanga. It's going to be held on Feb 7-10, 2008. I'm sure I'll have a grand time taking pictures, well, that is hoping that my camera doesn't act up again. I really hope I do get to go to the event. That week would actually be a bit busy so I hope I get to sneak it in my schedule. Oh well, it would actually be much easier if I have my own car. That would really make traveling much more easier.

Orlando

Do you want to go to Orlando? I do!!! I would really love to visit Disney World and Universal Studios. And wouldn’t you just love to get your hands on some Seaworld Tickets? I am sure anybody who goes there would have loads of fun. Even adults can have fun in this place. It would surely take out the child in you. It’s great that orlandofuntickets.com has available discounted tickets to everything Disney has to offer. There are so many theme parks to go to, I’m not even sure where to start! You can even watch dinner shows at night like Arabian Nights, Medieval Times, and Pirates Dinner Adventure. That would surely be a blast!

hair loss

I’m having hair problems. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been having hair loss problems. You probably haven’t noticed it, but if you look closely, my hair is super thin already. I dread shampooing my hair or brushing it since it always end up that a lot of hair would end up in the drain or on my brush. I have tried hair fall prevention shampoos but I haven’t really found one that works. I really hope I can solve this problem. Some say it’s because of stress. Well, I used to think of that too, but I haven’t been stressed anymore lately so I wonder what’s still wrong. I’m trying to look for more reliable hair loss products and have been searching the internet for reviews and testimonials. I’ve came across provillus. Have you tried that? I’m trying to compare it with other products. Do you have a good provillus review? If you highly recommend it and have personal experience using it, just let me know. I’m really getting a little bit desperate about my hair problem. I don’t want to go bald! I love having long hair, but it really frustrates me when I see hair all over my bed, my brush, the comfort room. I hope I get to solve this hair problem pretty soon

nasty stretch marks

Do you have stretch mark problems? I know not only fat people have them. I know some who are slim but have problem areas which have stretch marks. A friend doesn’t wear sleeveless tops because of this while another rarely wears shorts so she can hide those at her legs. Stretch marks can really be a big problem and can affect one’s self esteem. For the longest time I have searched for treatments for these awful stretch marks. I really don’t know how effective those lotions are. I recently encountered a stretch mark cream which claims that the product is very much effective. Check out their site and read more about revitol stretch mark cream. I hope I can get free samples of those. If they are really effective then I just might hoard their product. I have yet to read more about stretch marks. Their site also provides information on how to prevent stretch marks. Well, personally, I have to lose more weight before I actually think of removing those stretch marks. But I’m sure some friends would really be excited about these products and would definitely find them very useful, that is if they’re really effective (I hope they are). There is hope, after all, for the battle against stretch marks.

Camera problems

Oh no! Looks like there's something wrong with my camera and I just can't figure it out. Sometimes it works properly but sometimes you can't seem to click on the trigger to shoot some pictures! Sometimes the zoom doesn't work too. When you zoom in and start pressing to shoot, it zooms back again! It's really frustrating. I'm dreading bringing it to the service center since it might cost me a lot again, just like the time when I accidentally dropped it and some parts had to be realigned. Oh well. If I knew better she's just jealous I have a new camera (the underwater one) so she's just acting up to get some attention. Hehehe! Oh please, dear camera, you know how much I love you so please, don't be jealous anymore and act properly!

monney matters

Another friend is getting married soon. I’m really happy and excited for them! Planning for one’s wedding can be really fun, but can be so stressful as well especially when one thinks about all the expenses related to the wedding. You’ll probably be shocked how much weddings cost these days. Some even get cash advance loans just to finance their wedding. It's so easy to apply for those things already! Oh well. As they say, it’s all worth it, for the sake of that special day. Well, I really find it a little impractical spending so much for a wedding. I’d rather spend on our house. Well, I don’t know if what’s going to happen when I’m the one who’s getting married. I might get caught up with all the preparations myself and spending a lot as well. Hmmm…if budget doesn’t permit it, getting a loan is always an option! Hahaha! Our parents might contribute also but I’m really not counting on it. We just really need to come up with a grand plan on how we can finance the wedding and other expenses. I don’t want to splurge on the wedding and not have a place to stay at afterwards, or not even have food to eat. It really is all about right budgeting. As of right now, I can do all the planning on my head and just save as much as I can. Let’s talk about this more after he proposes. Hahaha!

more on insurance

Do you have a term life insurance already? Well, if not, I suggest you get one already. It really pays to think of the future. You may not realize this right now, but when the time comes when you actually need it already, you’d be very thankful that you have one already. This is one investment worth considering. There are a lot being offered and it’s up to you to choose which one would be more suitable for you.

foam mattress

Does your back hurt? Well, you might have a not so ergonomic bed and might have to replace your foam mattress to get better sleep and wake up well rested and with no aching back. Check out bedinabox.com for more options. Getting a good night’s sleep is such a luxury these days. You certainly deserve it. Invest in a really nice bed. A good foam mattress really makes a big difference. I might have to replace my own actually.

real estate

They say investing in real estate can prove to be very beneficial in the long run. But of course, one must be careful when it comes to choosing where to invest in. You don’t want to be investing in something which would end up a scam. It pays picking one which has a good reputation already just like gmac real easte. Visit their site and know more about them.

promo products

I have a lot of friends who are in sales and marketing. I know how important advertising is. Companies really allot a certain amount of budget on imprinted promotional products and other advertisement materials. Being able to pass on to consumers information about their product really helps increase their sales. These materials help the consumers have a recall about their products with the hope that they will buy them soon to try them out themselves.

life insurance

I think all of us should get a term life insurance. Not that I am morbid, but at least whatever happens to you, you know that you’re taken cared of. It really helps to be prepared. You really should save some money for this. If you’d like to know more about your options, there are a lot of materials in the internet which you can read. I’m sure you will be very much enlightened after reading about them.

home theater

I have always dreamt of having my own home theater sconces. That would really be cool. I’d probably just get some DVDs instead of going to the movies and have my own movie night at home. That would really go well with some popcorn, a nice movie, and my sweetie cuddled up to me. That would really be a great cheap substitute to a date. I’m sure we’d be spending more time at home than going out to the mall.

land for sale

Are you looking for some Florida land for sale? It would really be nice to live in the area. Imagine being so near to Disneyland. That would really be cool, don’t you think? Some of my relatives might actually transfer there from Arizona. I know it would be another adjustment for them, but I think it’s all for the better. Hopefully someday I can visit them in their new home.

On waiting...

Just sharing...(I got this from HERE)

"Waiting is a good thing only if something is worth waiting for. How will you know if it's worth it? Gut feel. What if you don't trust your gut? Pray. You will be enlightened. Trust me. Is it wrong to expect while waiting? It's not wrong, but it will increase your chances of heartbreak and disappointment if things don't work out in the end. Is it good to expect while waiting? It is better to hope. What's the difference between hoping and expecting? Hoping means you're open to either side of the coin landing though you're more inclined to believe that things will turn out well. Expecting means you're thinking single-track, which won't do you much good at all. What's the difference between waiting and expecting? Expecting is waiting for something to definitely happen. Waiting is staying where you are, but not necessarily expecting something to happen definitely.

Do you need assurance from someone you're waiting for while you're waiting? Ideally, yes. But realistically, do you really want assurance from this person? It's so easy to just point at something and make that the reason why you're waiting. With waiting, all you really can rely on are three things: your gut feel, your heart and mind. Just yourself, not on anyone else. So should you wait? What does your gut say? How does your heart feel? What does your mind think? If they're saying different things, keep asking yourself these three questions (and pray) until you get a solid answer.

Then you'll know if he or she is worth waiting for."

Fr. James Donelan, S.J.

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, how time flies! I can't believe it has been three years already! I love you so much sweetie! I know that despite all the challenges that we've been through and still going through, we'll be able to surpass all of them. Everything will be worth it. I know that you are the one for me and I cannot imagine living my life without you. Life has been so much fun and happier with you in it. I wish that we get to accomplish all our goals and plans and that in God's right time we can start our own family already. I love you so much! Happy Anniversary!

pursuing further studies

I’ve got a couple of batch mates who became teachers. It really is a noble job since. It may not pay as well as other corporate jobs but their contribution in the society and in the lives of their students is enough achievement that money can’t buy. Anyway, teachers now have good opportunities abroad in case they would want to earn more. Since my friends did not really graduate with a degree in education, they still need to take a couple of educational units to be eligible to teach abroad. I know they’ve got busy schedules so they’re having a hard time enrolling for further studies. It’s just a good thing that they can now enroll in an online school like capella university. They can pick their own schedule for their classes which they can take at the comfort of their homes. It would now be more hassle free for them to pursue further studies. Well, I wish them luck in their new endeavor.

pets

Our family is into pets. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 birds. It’s great that the dogs know where to poop and pee. We have this area in the house where we put newspaper. That’s where they do it or they just do their thing outside. The cats have their own personality. One loves lounging at the top of the ref, the other at the top of the microwave, and the other at the top of the TV. Yep, they all have their own spot. I hope we can have those cat furniture so they’ll have a place to stay more comfortably and wouldn’t get in the way of people.

another resolution

One of my resolutions this year is to stop abusing my credit card. I admit to using it on a whim and buying things on an impulse which is really out of the budget. It’s hard when I see a really nice bag which was really love at first sight. It’s hard to put it down anymore and would end up swiping my card instead. My credit card company has increased my limits during the Christmas season which was really such a big temptation to overspend some more. Of course, with every purchase I would give myself justifications in order not to feel guilty. But in the end, when paying the bills comes, that’s the time I semi-regret my purchases. Oh well. I know I need to stick to buying just the necessities so I can save up for the wedding. I know some of you have your own monetary problems. Some abuse their credit cards (like I do), while some just rely on payday loans which is now easy to apply. Well, now that I don’t have a corporate job anymore, payday advance is not applicable for me. I really need to straighten out my buying habits. I’ll be working on that this year!

Wedding gown for sale

One of my clients who just got married last Dec 21 is selling her pretty wedding gown. Read her letter below for the details:

Hi girls!

I'm selling a Nicolina designer gown that was bought from Brides of Melbourne (GPO, Melbourne, VIC Australia).

Brand: Nicolina
Style: Wistful
Condition: Excellent (used once)
Material: Dupion Silk
Color: White
Neckline: Strapless (with detachable halter strap)
Silhouette: A-line
Size: AUS 10-12, will fit a small medium to medium body
Retail Price: $$$$

The gown is very simple yet elegant and anyone will find it very beautiful. The front of the dress is gathered at the side. This actually creates an illusion of a flat tummy! There are scattered beading on the train, creating a quilted effect. The train can be shortened by creating a bustle with a built in hoop and button.

The gown was originally size AUS 10 (US6 / US Small / UK8) and I am a size 12 (US8 / US Medium / UK10) but it fit well. I had it altered so that instead of a zip-up, the dress would be lace-up (corset-type). This way, even if I shrink a size smaller or grow a size bigger, the dress will still fit perfectly. The gown was also shortened – it is floor-length for a 5'4" bride wearing flats.

Selling price is 30K (negotiable). The dress has been dry-cleaned and placed in the original Brides of Melbourne full-length dress cover. I will throw in an elbow-length veil, 2 pillows (both white) for the rings and arrhae, the secondary veil, cord, and pouch. The items can be picked up at my hubbie's house in Pasay City, or he can meet up with you in Metro Manila.

If you are interested, or knows anyone who is, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me or my hubby. As I am now in Melbourne, I will not be able to personally hand over the items, but I am contactable and my hubbie will be able to assist you with your queries.

2007 in Review

I saw this from diane's blog and decided to answer it myself. You can grab this if you like to as well.

1) Where did you begin 2007? I usually start my new year with my family. January 1 is also my mom's birthday.
2) What was your status by Valentine’s Day? Happy with my sweetie!
3) Were you in school anytime this year? Nope.
4) How did you earn your money? I decided to resign from my corporate job at the end of February. I'm now doing paid blogging, wedding coordination, and sometimes selling chocolates and beads as well.
5) Did you have to go to the hospital? Unfortunately yes, I had ear problems. My left ear was almost deaf for a few weeks.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police? Nope.
7) Where did you go on holidays? I usually just spend it at home.
8) What did you purchase that was over $1000? Good thing my shopping powers haven't reached that limit.
9) Did you know anybody who got married? Oooh! a lot! My wedding coordination clients: Sierra & Anton, Rax & Russel, Faye & Herbie, and Dawn & Leo. Pati friends din: Dyan & Gary.
10)Did you know anybody who passed away? Hmmm... I can't seem to remember any.
12) Did you move anywhere? Just for traveling purposes
14) What concerts/shows did you go to? I can’t remember. I think none.

19) What’s one thing you thought you’d never do but did in 2007? Leave the corporate world

21) What’s something you learned about yourself? A lot. My week-long soul searching in Pagudpud made me realize a lot of things. Learning new hobbies like scrapbooking and photography also helped me show my creative side.

23) Your best month? No personal favorite.
24.) What music will you remember 2007 by? Beautiful Girl by Sean Kingston

30) Where will you start 2008? Of course, still with my family.

casino

I miss playing online casino. Yep, I have tried it already. I usually just use play money mode since I can’t afford to lose so much money. I just play leisurely some casino games like poker, which is my favorite. I also play blackjack and roulette once in awhile. Playing these games can really be addicting. It would probably be nice to play in some vegas casino.

things to do

*whew* I just finished three weddings in 2 1/2 weeks! I barely got to enjoy the christmas and new year due to my busy schedule and had to, unfortunately, enter 2008 a bit sick.

Anyway, as the new year arrives I've been trying to write down and set goals my for 2008. And just looking at my list, looks like that I still got so many things that I want to do with my life. Hopefully I get to achieve all of those. Well, I'm still finalizing my list. Maybe I'll share them with you pretty soon.

Shocks! I've got so much to blog about! Hopefully, with a less tighter schedule I would be able to post more regularly (with quality content). I know I need to reorganize my blogs badly so that I don't end up with a site just full of paid posts. Just give me this month. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few domains and my own web hosting.

I still can't decide whether to pursue my trip to dumaguete. There's another trip being organized to Coron which I really wanna join (pero malamang hindi na rin). Then there's another photo-tour being organized for Feb. A friend is also inviting me to go to Bohol! *sigh* I wish I can join all those, but I think I need to be smarter with handling money, specially after me and my hunnie have discussed how we can save up for our own wedding.

more wedding thoughts

Weddings have been on my mind lately, usually not my own though, but those of my clients. But of course when you’re in this business you can’t help but think of your own right? I guess almost all women fantasize about their dream wedding. I would love to have a beach wedding or a garden wedding, well atleast for the reception since I would need to have my ceremony done in a Church. Anyway, I have always imagined my wedding to have lots of very nice elegant flowers. Too bad, cost of flower arrangements really sky rocket that I’m actually thinking of just buying wholesale flowers and personally do the arrangements just so I can save a lot on our wedding budget.

car stuff

With all the wedding coordination that I’ve been doing lately, I realized how much I badly need to have my own car. It would have been much easier for me traveling to meet suppliers and going to the wedding venues. I wonder when I’ll get to have my own car. I know there’s a lot to think about when you have a car like it’s maintenance and car insurance. Well, I think it’s all worth it, with all the convenience of having your own car brings. Oh I just wish the price of oil would stop increasing.
