updates

I've been so lazy lately when it comes to blogging. I've actually got a lot of stuff to blog about...just like getting a free dinner at Italliani's last Valentine's day c/o Magic 89.9...

I've recently signed in to Facebook lately and I've gotten so addicted to it already! I usually play Mafia Wars and poker.

Lately, my insomniac mode is back! I used to sleep around 2 am...then it become 4am...and today, i slept around 6 am and woke up around 11am. It's really terrible!

I'm contemplating of accepting a new project... gotta earn more money if I want to get married already!

wood flooring

I am drawn to having wood flooring. It gives a different feel of the house. It somehow makes it a bit homier. But I guess it’s harder to maintain wood flooring. I have been to homes with wood flooring which don’t allow guests to wear shoes while inside the house. They would even have shoe racks by the door so people would leave their shoes before entering the house.

dvd marathon

I have a couple of new DVDs that I recently bought at Quiapo. It’s so much cheaper than watching them at movie theaters. Well, It’s good enough for me to watch on an HDTV. We still have a couple of popcorns that I can pop in the microwave to get more of a movie theater experience. Maybe I can do a DVD marathon this weekend with my sweetie. I wonder which one we’ll watch first.

argentina

Last night’s Pinoy Fear Factor just revealed who the ultimate winner is. My parents usually make it a point to watch every episode. The Pinoy Fear Factor was done at Argentina. The show showed certain places in Argentina and made me curious more about the place. Maybe it would be fun to make an Argentina travel plan to check out the place personally. Well, I just hope I win the lottery soon so I can visit any place I want to.

experimenting

My sweetie and I are trying to be more experimental when it comes to eating out. We want to check out places where we won’t normally eat. It can really be exciting when one goes out of his comfort zone. But of course we try to research first about the place so that we’ll know what to expect. We try to research what food would be best ordered at that particular restaurant so that we can optimize the experience. It’s just great that there are sites out there which show reviews of restaurants. It really benefits the consumers. Anyway, in case you are looking for some Denver Restaurants, you might want to read reviews at westword.com.

Are you happy with the course that you took in college? Was there a point in your life that you wished you were taking another one? What hindered you from taking the course that you really want? Well, maybe it’s about time that you pursue your real passion. Maybe you can go back to school again. There are online colleges that you can enroll at to take up the real course that you want. You owe it to yourself to pursue your real passion. You can even take masters or PhD! It’s easier to pursue master’s and doctoral degree having these online colleges around. UP Fair

Do you plan to go to the UP Fair? When do you plan to go? I haven't seen the list of bands yet, but it's usually fun going on a friday. I bet it would be extra special since it's friday the 13th and it's valentines the next day. I heard there will be a valentines countdown as well as some fireworks. I'm not yet sure if I'll be going since I don't know yet who to go with. Let's see...

no mojo

I’ve got so much to blog about! Unfortunately, it seems that I’ve lost my blogging mojo lately. I just don’t feel like blogging lately even if I’ve got tons of topics to blog about. I even have lots of pictures that I can post. I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately. I hope this is just temporary or else I might end up shutting down my blog.

natural way

Our biggest loser challenge weigh in is fast approaching. Unfortunately, I’m not happy with my weight loss (or lack of it). I know it’s tempting to take some weight loss pills, but I’m still sticking to my original plan which is to do things naturally. It’s just a matter of exercising regularly and eating in moderation. Well, it’s easier said than done. I’m not quitting! Hopefully in time I’ll have the discipline needed to have a significant weight loss.

decorating tips

I visited a friend’s condo unit a few days ago. I just love her place! It was nicely designed. She surely was able to optimize her space. The interior decoration was superb. She didn’t even have to hire an interior decorator. The moment I stepped in, I immediately got a homey feel of the place. I extra love her bathroom. The design was well thought of. Even her bathroom lighting go with the theme of the room. Hopefully, I’ll get the opportunity soon to design my own place! I’d surely get tips from her!

hotels

It’s fun pampering yourself by staying at a hotel. It’s so relaxing sleeping on a nice bed with fluffy pillows and soaking yourself on a tub. We recently had a weekend getaway and stayed at Astoria for 3 days and 2 nights. It was really fun bonding with my family and my sweetie. I hope we can have more moments like those. I wonder which hotel we can visit soon. There are a lot of nice hotels around the city that we can probably try out as well. What hotels have you tried out in and out of the country? I was browsing through the internet some hotel sites and I encountered Karisma Hotels in Mexico which seemed really nice. Their Adults Only All Inclusive Hotels seem like a great place to stay when you visit Mexico. Maybe you can try it out just in case you find yourself in Mexico.

Ark Avilon Zoo

I woke up monday morning feeling the need to do something different or just go someplace I haven't been to and probably do some photography stuff. Well, I ended up going to Ark Avilon Zoo near Tiendesitas.

It was a good thing that there weren't any scheduled field trips for the day or else the place would be packed. It's just a fairly small zoo.

I paid the entrance fee of Php200 and then I was on my way to exploring what this zoo has to offer. Well, one of the distinct feature of this zoo is that you can interact with some of the animals. Some animals are just free to roam around, some are handled by their staff and you are assisted to interact with them. What I love most is that you can feed some of the animals yourself. I had fun feeding carrots to the bunnies and guinea pigs as well as feeding okra to the tortoise.

I had fun that day. It was fun taking pictures again. It was quite a challenge photographing animals since you can't really make them stop to pose so you really have to capture them in perfect timing.

Anyway, here are some of the photos I took...

new project

I might be joining another project by UPERDFI (UP Engineering Research and Development Foundation Inc.). I’m still waiting for the details though. It’s just a 6-month project (I hope it doesn’t get extended since I really don’t like getting tied to a job). I’m sure it would be a bit weird for me going to work 5 days a week again. My peer was even joking that she’ll make sure that the office would be nice enough for me. Well, it does help having nice office furniture around, but in the end, what matters is the people I work with. I hope we all get to enjoy this new project.

smart shopper

With the recession going on, it’s essential to become a smart shopper. One has to make sure each purchase is necessary and that you’re getting each item at a very reasonable price. It’s hard to splurge on shopping these days. Sometimes it’s better shopping at surplus shops nowadays. But of course, you must never sacrifice quality just because it is cheaply priced. It can really be a challenge striking a balance!

rest house

I went with my friend to visit her aunt’s rest house. I loved her place! She had a spacious lot with lots of different trees around. It was such a relaxing place! She even has this covered place outside her house where you can just lounge around while savoring the fresh air. Maybe it would be even more fun to have a small Jacuzzi tub outside or probably have more fruit bearing trees or some Dwarf Little Gem Magnolia trees. But anyways, as it is, it’s already awesome!
