I was discussing with my husband what kind of lighting fixtures we plan to install in our condo unit. We're weighing in the pros and cons of using led lighting and it appears that in the long run it would be more cost efficient. In my previous company we even conducted a study if it was advisable to shift from T8's to led lighting. The study concluded that it was. So it seems that we would indeed also be using LED lighting in our own home given its numerous advantages.
