I'm looking at some kala ukulele at Musician's Friend. My cousin is starting to get into playing ukulele so maybe he would appreciate getting his own this christmas. Well I just hope it's not just a fad for him and really would get serious in playing it so it wouldn't go to waste in case we really do decide to get him one for christmas. I hope he learns new songs he can play for us during our next family get together.

cozy on cold nights

It's been a bit rainy the past few weeks. I love cold nights since it helps me sleep better. Although sometimes it gets too cold that it makes you crave for heated mattress pads. That would surely ensure a good night sleep on a very cold night. It would be nice to snuggle up with your husband on a rainy night. Oh well. Rainy nights make me think of warm chocolate and snuggling up with my sweetie.

It's been raining for quite a few weeks in a row already. I hope we can see the sun shining more prominently again. Well, if your company has those promotional umbrellas, you would have gotten so much marketing mileage since those umbrellas would certainly been have well used due to the torrential rain. It just sucks that those heavy rain has caused so much flooding around and unfortunately a lot of people had to evacuate their flooded homes

I'm making dagny's invitation for her birthday which is coming up very soon. Maybe it would be better if we opt to use online printing. I'm just in the process of designing it. I'm in a bit of a cramming mode since it's just barely a month to go. I hope that our family and friends would be able to share their time with us on my daughter's birthday. Hopefully I can send the invites within the week so that they can save the date already.

I can hear my sister-in-law play the guitar right now from next door. She's really good at playing the guitar. She only taught herself how to play which is amazing since she can play numerous songs already. It would probably be nice to give her a la patrie guitar for her birthday which is coming up pretty soon. I hope she enhances her talent even more. I'm looking forward to hearing her play more songs.

royal teak

We visited our condo unit last week. It made me long more to move in soon. It would be fun designing and buying stuff for the unit. I would like to shop for royal teak for our small veranda. Hubby and I would always imagine having breakfast there and watching the sunrise. We hope we can save up enough money for the renovation already. It would really be lovely to live in that neighborhood!

Have you tried using an epiphone nighthawk? It has a 25.5" scale length which was introduced in the 90's. Guitar players would enjoy the combination of coil-tappable humbucker and single coil pickups which is very versatile. Maybe if I have the extra money I can buy epiphone nighthawk gift my brother. I'm sure he would enjoy playing it. Well, I should probably ask him what model he really wants but I'm sure he would love to have his hands on an electric guitar. It can be a combination of birthday and christmas gift already.

wide range of projects

We got a lot of projects lined up, but I only committed myself to one since by January (after the wedding), we would be staying in Laguna already. I would have a hard time commuting from our place to UP Diliman by that time. Anyway, the other projects seem interesting as well. Topics of the projects lined up range from turning some industrial equipment supplies to become environment friendly to stem cell storage. Some are still in the project development stage. I don’t want to start dipping my fingers on them since I just might have a hard time pulling myself out of them by the time we have to relocate to Laguna.

I'm sure the flower delivery company has lots of orders during valentine's and mother's day and all souls day. They may be seasonal but given that there are a lot of weddings, anniversaries, proposals, and birthdays being celebrated, for sure they do not run out of clients. I myself have a penchant for flowers. I used to have a crazy thought of opening up my own flower shop. Oh well. I'll just leave it up to the experts instead. I wouldn't mind receiving flowers though. :)

comfy bed

I hope we get to find a good latex mattress for our bed when we transfer to our condo unit. What we're using now is truly due for replacement already. Well, it would be nice to get one of those memory foam beds so that it would be more comfortable to sleep in. We just need to find a waterproof bed cover since my hubby really sweats a lot and his side of the bed usually gets the funny smell.

I just saw the wedding pictures of my classmate's sister in Baguio. It looked so fun and stylish. Since it was in Baguio, they had pictures with pine trees and horses. The bride even had a picture in her wedding gown, showing off her equestrian boots. It was so cool. Her wedding gown was so gorgeous, so as she! I really had a great time browsing through their photos. Weddings make me feel giddy and fuzzy inside.

I wish we can renovate our bathroom soon. Maybe we can replace the tiles, put a bath tub and shower curtains. We also need to replace the floor drain covers. I hope I can have my dream bathroom soon.

I miss playing the guitar. I wish I tried learning it more and practiced more. I could have been a good player by now. I'm really not very adventurous when it comes to styling my hair. I'm more of a ponytail kind of girl so just keeping it straight works just fine with me. But I'm curious how I would look like with a different hairstyle. It would be awesome to have several wigs and just wear them depending on your mood or the occasion you're going to. My friend is considering buying affordable ibanez amp at Musicians Friend. It would be a great amp to use during their gigs. They have just started a band and has been starting to increase bookings for gigs. I really do hope to catch one of their gigs pretty soon. They are a talented bunch and I really enjoy listening to them play. It would really be great to show support by watching their gigs. I hope they get to book more gigs too! high blood

Both my parents have high blood pressure. They’re both taking some supplements to aid their bodies from this. My dad has even brought a blood pressure monitor. This medical equipment is such a big help in monitoring their blood pressure. Usually if they get a high reading and their blood pressure shoots up, it would serve as a sign already to take up some other medications. Well, good thing that they’re both taking care of themselves pretty well by eating the right kinds of food and making sure that they get enough exercise daily. So far, their blood pressure is as a normal level. It’s really great to have a medical equipment around to check their blood pressure every once in a while.

Have you tried to eat an ice cream cake? I've always loved to try that out and it's great that it easier to grab that opportunity now since there is already a Bake & Churn stall at SM North which offers these ice cream cakes! I thought they would be expensive but I was surprised that they're really not. A slice of their Mocha Caramel ice cream cake is very affordable. Very affordable! We made an ocular inspection of our condo unit last week since there was a reported leak. We made a written comlpaint already so they can fix it. Anyway, seeing our unit makes us crave more to move into it. There's still so much to renovate. We need to buy some modern outdoor lighting too. Probably by next year we can move in already if our finances are more flexible already by that time! We're so excited already!

I think we need to buy a pot & pan organizer. It would really be a big help in organizing our kitchen which has really been a bit messy for the longest time. We need to buy more organizational containers as well and probably a bigger dish drainer. It would be fun redecorating the kitchen. It would be more fun to cook in a kitchen which is clean and orderly. Adding more kitchen gadgets would be nice too! There's a lot of new recipes I came across with that I want to try already.

I believe that we should all have emergency money always ready so that whenever something unexpected happens, we wouldn’t be caught off guard. I’ve been listing down the things that I want to buy for my self and give for Christmas. But looks like my budget wouldn’t allow all the shopping that I want. Oh well. My brother's Rottweiler has given birth to 10 puppies, but unfortunately 5 died. Anyway, the 5 ones that are left are so plump and healthy now. They're so cute! It would be nice to buy them some eggcrate dog beds but it looks like my brother will be giving away all the puppies since we have lots of dogs already. They're dog food expenses have been skyrocketing and it takes a lot of time maintaining so many dogs. So for the mean time we're just enjoying the puppies until they're all given away.

I need an extra SD card so that whenever I go for a photo shoot I’m armed and ready. It would be a bummer if you got a full memory already and there’s still too much to shoot. You can never be too sure so it’s really better if you have an extra card. You should always be ready to capture those precious moments you can never get back again.

I’m thinking of getting my sweetie a new watch but I’m still keeping my options open. Do you have any suggestions? I usually have a hard time deciding what to give him and to men (friends and family) in general. I think women are easier to give gifts to. Maybe I can get him a nice pair of Wayfarer sunglasses or probably a new pair of shoes. Oh well. I just hope that he appreciates whatever I decide to get him.

i wish we can buy a new refrigerator. I would prefer a bigger one with a bigger freezer than what we have now. I saw a refrigerator which caught my fancy. I think it's model is fprh19d7lf. I would love to have more space for keeping pumped breast milk. Maybe I can donate some too. Right now I just can't store breast milk in our freezer since there's no enough space for it. Anyway, our refrigerator's really due for replacement already. I hope we can get a new one pretty soon.

My sweetie has been urging me to get a new hair style for the longest time. Ever since we’ve been together, he’s only seen me with straight long hair. He has been encouraging me to be a little more experimental with my hair style. Well, I admit, I’m not the stylish type and has the guts to go crazy when having her hair cut. I’m really more into the classic typical cut…which I admit can really be boring, especially if that’s the same hairstyle you’ve been wearing for almost the whole of your life time.

Our dog has just given birth to 10 puppies. Unfortunately, 5 of them died. Thankfully the remaining 5 are very healthy and are most likely to survive. Having 3 big dogs and 5 puppies can really be a bit a challenge. We would need to have to clean up the grounds from their poop and pee. We might need to buy a penflex metal hose so that it would be easier to hose down all the dirt. It can be a daunting task but we do love our dogs. Dogs are really man's best friend.

I know most people know how to play the pian or the guitar, but there are those who are into not so mainstream instruments like my friend. I'm craving for some salsa. Salsa snacks really go well with beer. It’s what we usually serve when we have parties at home. Everybody just loves digging in. It’s great with lots of cheese and ground beef too! Well, one just need to watch a bit how much he is eating since it’s just so tempting to just keep on digging in. One of our favorite restaurants serves unlimited nachos with salsa. We would end up asking for our 5th or 6th refill! I really enjoy eating there when we’re too lazy to prepare one at home.

If only we have unlimited budget for renovating our condo unit, I'm sure I would have loads of fun designing it. I saw that there are a lot of instant pasta sauce from Mc Cormick available at the grocery. I decided to try out the Pesto sauce and the Creamy Garlic sauce. They're really easy to prepare. For the pesto sauce, you just add up a little bit of oil (EVOO would be great) and heat it up a little (do not bring to a boil as instructed!). Voila! Instant pesto! For the Creamy Garlic, you just dissolve the powder into a cup of fresh milk, bring it to a boil and simmer for a minute. I saw that we have some shrimps so I decided to add some together with some basil leaves. The taste is ok. Nothing grand about it. Of course I'd still think my own recipe tastes a lot better than it. Hehe! But this is nice to use whenever you have an instant craving for pasta but is not in the mood to spend a lot of time preparing for it. A packet would be good for 200g of noodles.

I think everybody has dreamed of having that much needed break when one can just relax and rest in one of those houses by the beach. I would love to have our own dog. I grew up with lots of dogs and now that I'm married I would love to have our own. I know there are a lot of responsibilities that go with having a dog. We're using a yoga mat as my baby's play mat. I hope I can score one of those yoga mat bags so we can bring along our mat to a picnic. It would be nice for my baby to experience playing outdoors and get more sunshine. The fresh air would certainly be good for her. I'm looking forward to experiencing different moments with my baby. Everyday is such a blessing being able to spend time with her and getting to know her personality more.

We tried out this new cafe. Their cheesecake tasted alright…not too thick and overpowering. But then again my tastebuds are still craving for some Uno cheesecake! *sigh* I'm quite fond of Lemon Squares but this one is a bit too lemon-y for me. I remember making one of these which turned out to be a disaster. I mistook the confectioner's sugar as flour! No wonder it didn't really quite hold up after baking. Oh well. I hope I could perfect this recipe as well. The store has their share of other cakes and pastries just like any other coffeeshop. Too bad it was so hot that day and we didn't feel like trying out their coffee.

As they say, nothing is constant here in the world but change (and probably the value of pi). Change is good and shouldn’t really be feared. We still have to decide what tokens to give them but I saw some pandora charms which I'm considering to buy. When was the last time you went on a family vacation? Well, if you are planning for one, going to any of the five karisma hotels would be really great! Don't you just love the weather lately? I just love the bed weather! It's just too bad that I just can't sleep whenever I want to since I have a baby I need to attend to. Not that I'm complaining (too much). I love my baby so much! I just hope she sleeps a bit longer soon and minimize being fussy so I can rest longer. Anyway, with the cool weather, it would be nice to have one of those polartec fleece jackets so snuggle you and keep you warm

We still don’t have curtains in my room. I used to have blinds but I don’t feel like putting it back on. I think I prefer having curtains instead. It makes the room feel more home-y. Anyway, I was looking at some sites and came across some bamboo shades which really helped build the ambiance of the featured model room. It got me rethinking my preference.

Darn it! I hate it when I have colds (and cough). It’s hard to breathe and you have to blow your nose every couple of minutes. I feel tired and lazy. My time is now mostly devoted to taking care of our baby. I would either be breastfeeding her, changing her nappies, burping her, or probably catching up on sleep as she takes a nap. We're mostly in the bedroom which somehow makes me wish that we have a television in our bedroom. It's a small room so we can probably get a flat panel stand to maximize the space. It would be nice to be able to watch tv while taking care of her so that I can have some other form of entertainment.

My father has been busy preparing for the renovation of our house in the province.
