Of course it would be extra fun if I could come along with him and get the chance to try out those hotel in Vegas. It would be really nice to pretend to be filthy rich and rubbing elbows with those millionaires who frequent the place.

I easily get bored at home and would rather go out as much as I can even if it only means hanging out at coffee shops and finish all my pending writing assignments there. Well, it gets a little costly hanging out at coffee shops and would have to think of what I can do to not get bored staying at home. I’m thinking of fixing up the front yard so I can have a fresher ambiance and do my writing outdoors instead. We have some outdoor furniture I can fix up and turn the garage into an outdoor office.

It’s really fortunate that there are a lot of cheap flights available already. It enables more people to travel and explore different places. Hopefully I can take advantage of this great opportunity more. I hope me and my sweetie can go some place nice this summer. He deserves a good long break from his demanding job. The month February really takes out the love fools out of most of us specially during Valentine’s day. Well, all of just wants to be loved. For some, love has come their way easily, but for many, love has somehow been a bit aloof. Well, it really is hard to find a perfect match. Out of all the millions of people existing, it would really be hard to find that perfect one for you. I really love it when my dad sends home those boxes from abroad filled with goodies. I’m excited to get my hands on the new Nikon D200 that my dad just bought. For the longest time, I have been wishing and dreaming of having my own DSLR! Getting a Nikon D200 is beyond what I wished for so that really makes me so very happy! Oh well. I hope I can fast forward time to June already when my dad will be coming home already with the new DSLR.

My cousin in the states is turning 16 pretty soon and has been asking his dad to give her a car for her 16th birthday. Well, I guess for some it’s an absurd gift. But since those 16 and above are allowed to drive already, then it’s not unusual to see 16 year old teenagers driving a car. Well, of course it doesn’t have to be brand new. Their looking at Used cars Victoria, Texas have. Looks like my uncle is giving in to her daughter’s wish and would really be buying her a car. It’s fortunate that my uncle knows a lot about cars so even if it’s a second hand that they’re getting I’m sure my cousin would be able to get a really nice car ready to be pimped!

Page rank has been updated again and I’m not happy at all. I don’t know what Google has against bloggers who does paid post? They have once again reduced my last website with page rank to a mere 0! That really really sucks since it would mean that I would have less opportunities that I can grab. I know a lot of bloggers have become really angry with Google for playing God again.

road renovation

Our road is being renovated. I think they plan to cement it. The process just really suck since it would mean that they would be digging it up, making it impassable, and with the rain every now and then, the road has been this muddy patch. Oh well. I can’t wait for the renovation to be over!

school issues

I’m proud of my mom who is now a Science Department Head in their school. I know she has worked so hard to get that position. I know she would be retiring in a couple of years so atleast she was able to reach her dreams already of heading their department.

Well, their school is one of the most populous public schools in the city. They have over 30 sections and I think around 60 students per class. They really have difficulty providing classrooms that sometimes they just end up scheduling classes so early in the morning and until late at night just to accommodate the students.

The school needs a lot of renovations. Having lockers would be a fancy already. They badly need more rooms as well as classroom chairs and tables. They’re really hoping that the government can address this problem. Even the teacher’s offices needs upgrading. They would appreciate better office desks and chairs.

Anyway, I guess even just a small budget would do, just as long as there is. They would just have to stretch the budget to address their problems. Well, fortunately there are a lot of options out there which can provide these school fixtures at a great deal. One just really need to be smart when scouting for a good supplier.

Vegas

With all the preparations to be taken cared of just for a wedding, it’s sometimes just so tempting to just run of and get married in Vegas. That would have been pretty cool but I’m sure a lot of relatives would disagree. Oh well.
Las Vegas really has a different allure. I really dream of experiencing Vegas even for just a night and pretend to be one of those rich ones who can play casino all night, watch performers and just have fun and probably have that fantasy spontaneous wedding. I’m sure Las Vegas Hotels earn so much from casinos which Vegas is more known for. The hotels really are so luxurious that I would probably feel like a princess staying in those rooms.

perfect job

Finding the perfect job for you can really be quite a challenge, since first of all, is there such a thing as a perfect job? I guess what we all aim to do is be able to find that job where we would be happy and have personal growth as well. It really is hard to qualify which aspect is more important to us. Is it the pay check? Is it the nature of the job? Is it the travel opportunity? It could be all these. But the thing is, it’s hard to find a job that would give you satisfaction in all these. Well, you probably can find one but would end up being all too stressed doing that job due to its demands. Well, one really is suggested to learn more about the career that you would want to pursue. My dad would be resigning from work already. He is of age already and doesn’t need to much stress from work anymore. He plans to officially resign by summer, having enough time for a sufficient turnover to his subordinates. Well, it is a big move indeed, but I really think that it’s about time. He’s just concerned with how he will be moving all the things that he as accumulate there since he has basically worked in UAE for around 10 years already. Well, I guess needs to start packing and getting help from a moving company so that it wouldn’t be too much hassle for him.

A lot of friends have pursued higher studies already. Some even enrolled into grad schools while maintaining their day jobs which, as they say is a bit suicidal. It really is hard to balance an act like that due to demands of both job and studies. Just the mere requirement of being present in class after a whole day’s work is quite a challenge already. Well, fortunately for those who signed up at an accredited online university which offers 104 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 15 certificate programs. They have the luxury to pursue further studies by not being physically present in a school. This really makes thing so much easier.

My weekend "ME" time (part 1)

I had a super fun long weekend!

Saturday
I delivered an order of chocolate souvenirs for a baptism in Greenhills in the morning. Making these chocolates is very tiring, but indeed very fulfilling. Anyway, if you have an upcoming event and thinking of what souvenir to give, why not make it chocolates? Just contact me at 0920-2874829 and we can talk about your chocolate needs.

I was thinking of making it like a tower of boxes, but they wanted to spell RAFA instead (short for Rafael, the one being baptized). Can you read the letters? Well, the cake was supposed to be placed there, but it turned out that they didn't order a cake so they just decided to put my chocolates there.

After delivering the chocolates, I went to Galeria to have lunch and just hang out at starbucks and do some pending paid posts (thanks to free wi-fi of Galeria). I also saw and old friend which was really good since we were able to some quick catching up.

Since I was at the mall already, I decided to watch the movie "Vantage Point", which was really a good choice since I really loved the movie. Try to catch it if you can!

I still had time in the afternoon and decided to get a good nice massage at Body Tune at the Block which is near my home (i didn't want to travel from ortigas after a massage). It was really a much needed massage which I truly enjoyed!

I should be having more "ME" time more often!

wedding planning

I really enjoy Wedding Planning. It may not be my own wedding, but it still excites me. There’s a certain level of fulfillment helping out couples do their wedding preparations. It is an honor for me to play a big part in their wedding. It certainly is not an easy feat since there are just too much things to do and think about. I always pray to God that He will always help me out, that I may be an instrument in making beautiful weddings and be a part a two peoples lives in bringing them in front of God to be blesses as one.

my new plants

I consider myself having a green thumb, but due to lack of time I wasn’t able to pay much attention to my plants. Anyway, I decided some new plants again. I bought Basil, Parsley, and Celery. I hope I can take care of my organic plants and make them grow. It’s fun cooking with ingredients you just get from the garden. I have actually made pesto from my basil plant.

Ramielle Malubay

I’m really excited for this year’s American Idol. It’s fortunate that there is another Filipina who got into the finals. There have been great reviews for Ramielle Malubay and I really hope she goes a long way and hopefully wins the contest. I’m looking forward to the songs they’ll be singing. Looks like I would be on the look out for their MP3s.

Credit cards are indeed very useful. It has saved me a lot of times when I don’t have enough cash and the atm line is just too long. It really is very convenient having a credit card. Although, of course, as I always advice, be very disciplined in using your credit card or else you may end up buried deep in debt. I know a lot of people who can’t pay off their credit card. It’s a trap most cannot avoid. I too have some pending balance yet to be paid off. Well, it is indeed very easy to apply for a credit card. There are even Credit Cards For Students. But the hardest part is paying off your credit card bill so spend wisely, ok?

I miss scrapping. I haven't touched my scrapbook stuff for quite some time already. I still have to finish a minibook for a friend. Anyway, I'm just post a letter in behalf of Lindy Kidder, one of our e-group member both at Scrapbooks Exchange and at Pinoy Scrapbookers. A few scrapbookers are actually helping her plan the event and hoping that we will be able to gather some funds for the Carmelite Nuns of Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac for the construction of their chapel.

happy with work

I admire people who go after their dreams. I know sometimes it’s just easy to just go with the flow and just work for an 8-5 job due to its stability. But I know only a few can say that they really love their job and that they are happy and content with it. It’s more common to hear about complaints about how stressful their jobs are and that they really don’t like what they are doing.

One of the people I admire is a friend who really went out of her way to pursue her dreams even if it’s not at all related to corporate world. She pursued further studies in one of those regency beauty institutes so that she can gain more knowledge and experience in that craft. I’m happy to learn that she has already won several awards already!

disappointed

I have been watching Amazing Race Asia 2 basically because of Marc Nelson. It’s just really unfortunate that they only came in third, considering that they have been coming in first for the majority of the legs. Anyways, I don’t want to blame Rovilson, but I’m sure if Marc did the last task, they would have probably won. Oh well. I really liked how they played the race in general and I’m really proud of both of them.

calla lilies

One of my clients really love calla lilies. I think the theme of her wedding is calla lilies. She imagines the reception party with table arrangements of calla lilies. She also envisions their wedding cake with calla lilies draped on it. I bet she would also opt to have her bridal bouquet as calla lilies. Well, I can’t blame her. Calla lilies really look elegant. Well, I guess since it would be a calla lily filled wedding, we might as well buy wholesale calla lilies so that we can save up a lot. It really is very much cheaper buying in bulk. I am sure the place would look so divine with all the calla lilies around.

underwater

I haven’t really used my underwater camera. I’m really excited to try it out. Probably one of these days I would go to Puerto Galera and do some snorkeling. Well, according to manual of the camera, it is recommended to use the camera underwater for only an hour. Well, I just hope I have a Technomarine watch so I could observe how long I’ve been on water. Anyway, I’m excited to try it out already.

dream bathroom

I am very particular with public bathrooms that’s why I really hate going to dirty public comfort rooms. If I could have my way, I would redesign our bathroom at home and change some of the bathroom fixtures. It’s my dream to have a bath tub where I can soak on a lazy Saturday morning while reading a book, with probably some nice smelling lit incense to go with it so I can fully relax my self.

Have you tried playing bing bong? Yep, that’s correct, it’s bing bong not the other game (ping pong). I recently encountered it and it looks like fun to play. It would be nice to have your own beer pong table. Maybe you can try playing it and when you’re really good already you can actually join the competitions. Read more about the game and try it out. My Dearest Baby Princess,

Good morning! You just slept late. I hope that you’ll be feeling alright by the time you get to read this. I want to greet you a very Happy Valentine’s Day. In a few hours I’ll be seeing you, the girl I’m building my life around, and get my much awaited fill of hugs and kisses. There can be no other feeling that’s so right and so good than to be with you - the one I truly love.

We’ve been doing very well, my princess. We’re better at handling disagreements. I’ve been very keen on what things to say and what not to whenever arguments are about to start. I know you’ve been doing your part in this and we deserve a pat on the back for our efforts. We’ve been struggling at this for the last three years and I feel that we’re finally over this uphill climb. I know you feel it too when I say we’re moving on to greater things.

I want to thank you for all you hard work and sacrifices in the past which kept this relationship still alive. I still have a long way to go if we talk about maturity but, considering the person I was when you met me, I see this change as a giant leap towards me being less juvenile and more responsible. Only God could have foreseen that only you could have handled this job and I’m sure he’s very happy at your progress.

You are nothing short of heaven-sent for me. I compare this to what your clients feel when you come into their lives and make the incredible transformation of their wedding. I heard it not only once or twice either from the couple, friends or from their parents that you have that magic touch in improving something and making it a little more pleasing. This is what you’ve done for me. I am very grateful to you.

Things could only get better. We’ve found ourselves at the bottom a few times in the past but we’ve climbed some notches higher. There can be no turning back and, like I said, we’re moving on to better things. I know I’m here to make you better in some way or another. It’s funny, but I know I helped you be better at being more patient without me being conscious of it.

I’m really not too happy with the strengthening of the peso since we cannot really feel its benefits, it actually lessens my income since I get paid in dollars. It’s really ironic that despite the strengthening of the peso, the prices are still increasing. This really makes it hard for the people. It’s actually harder for OFW families since their remittances have decreased. Those who are keeping dollar accounts are at a loss now and are really disappointed with the performance of the US dollar. They kept dollar accounts thinking it would secure them a better future. Too bad the dollar is sinking. They should have invested in gold bars. Their bullions would have a higher value by now.

vacation option

It has been quite cold lately, but summer is almost here. What are your plans? It would really be nice to take a vacation somewhere new. Everybody deserves a much needed break like a Cancun Vacation. Just imagine lying by the fine white sandy beach, hearing the splashes of the waves of the bluest waters of the Caribbean Sea and just soaking up under the hot Mexican Sun. One would just really forget all the stress from work. I read from karismahotels.com how nice Cancun is and it was really enticing especially after seeing the pictures posted there. That’s the kind of place I want to be at.

I have been getting more addicted to watching DVDs lately. I have all season of Prison Break as well as Desperate Housewives. I’m also planning to get House and Heroes so I could watch them on a some serious DVD marathon. It’s somehow messing up my sleeping habits but I just can’t help it. Anyway, I can just imagine if I have a big screen and HDMI cables. Wow, that would really be cool.

Besides thinking about wedding preparations, my sweetie and I have been thinking about where to live as well after we get married. It’s usually a fun imagination session, thinking about how our life would be together. Anyway, I'm sure traffic would be terrible tomorrow. Oh well. Sometimes I feel valentine's is overrated. But then again it would be sweet being treated extra special on this special day.

I have a friend who works in an insurance company. She has been offering me some insurance policy for the longest time. I guess I’ve been saying no because my parents got me one already. Several company has been calling me also saying that I won a certain trip to somewhere and that before I can claim it, I would need to listen to a 90 minute presentation which is usually some agent offering some insurance policy.

I know how important getting an insurance is. One should always be prepared of what tomorrow may bring. It’s hard facing a certain issue without having enough finances to support you. Now that I have thought more about it, I’m thinking of getting another insurance. I guess I just need to read more and talk to some agent so that I can weigh my options. That’s what I hated from those other agents. They wanted me to decide right there and then whether I would get their insurance or not. Of course I want to weigh my options first so that I would be able to get a great deal out of this. I know there are a lot of affordable insurance out there. I hope I do get the best deal out there.

My dog has been shedding her hair lately. It's really frustrating since the house is just full of dog hair all over. Even if you sweep the floor every now and then, there's just too much hair. Even the sofa has a lot of dog hair since she loves lying down there. Even my clothes end up with lots of dog hair. Oh well. I hope this phase will get over soon.

They say that there are a lot of benefits that we can get from drinking Tea. A lot believe that this is some kind of a wonder drug. It helps stimulate the immune system, lowers cholesterol, prevents blood clotting, deactivates cancer promoters, and are considered as great stress removers. They say it delays aging, fights high blood pressure, fights viral and bacterial infection, and helps improve the digestive and excretory system.

I guess this is one of the secrets of Chinese for being healthy. I remember going to Hong Kong and it’s like automatic that whenever they eat, it’s Tea that they drink, unlike in the other places where most people would order softdrinks (biggie sizes at that).

They basically drink tea with every meal. I guess their tea drinking habit is the main reason that most Chinese have good skin.

I think I should develop the habit of drinking Green Tea since they say it aids weight loss, among a lot of its benefits. There are actually a lot of tea flavors. There’s black tea, mint tea, chamomile, Tropical Tea, oolong tea, red tea and white tea. What’s your favorite? I usually end up drinking either green tea or black tea since my dad bought a lot of those. I think there are studies that show that Oolong Tea is also great for weight loss. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try it out also.

There are also studies comparing the benefits of coffee and tea. I know a lot of discussions have been made which one is better. Well, I used to be so into coffee, since it used to keep me up way back in college when I have to stay up late to review or finish projects. I remember taking an exam the morning after with shaking hands, probably because of too much coffee. Anyway, now that I’m a bit older, I seem to have less penchant for coffee and is more drawn to drinking tea.

I think my only apprehension for drinking too much is that I am acidic. I would usually take medications to treat it. I just hope that my tea drinking wouldn’t affect my being acidic too much, but I do remember my doctor advising me not to drink softdrinks, teas, and fruit juices. Basically that only limited me to water and that really sucks. Well, I don’t know if the benefits of drinking tea would weigh more that its side effect on me being acidic.

I feel so lazy when there's so much to do. Buying those Prison Break DVDs were enough distraction already. I couldn't stop myself from watching. It's so good that I watched one episode after another. I had so much fun today! I haven't felt so alive like today for quite sometime already...

debut coming up

My aunt is already starting to plan for her daughter’s debut party. Of course, I would be helping them out for the preparations and have already started scouting the perfect place where it would be held. I also gave her a rough estimation of how much the whole event is going to cost. This would include her gown, hotel for her preparation, photo and video, venue, caterer, souvenirs, and other miscellaneous stuff. Well, it can really get very costly but there are ways on how to stay on the budget.

It’s her only child so despite having problems financially she still wants to pursue the party. She plans on doing everything she can just to pull of the party. *sigh* I'm really really aching to travel more. I still got this long list of places to go to. I still haven't used my underwater camera and I really hope I do so pretty soon. It's really hard to pursue all these plans especially if I want to save up for my wedding. Something has got to give. I probably should learn how to practice delayed gratification, but there's a part of me who wants to live in the now and seize the moment. I want to live my life in the fullest. It would be hard to pursue traveling when I have kids already since my priorities would have to really change by then. Oh well.
