Fun Sunday

I had so much fun last Sunday! It's very rare that we have family outings and I'm glad it pushed through last sunday. We just rented out a private pool in teacher's village. It was great that there weren't other people around so we basically had the whole pool to ourselves.

My mom and tita just bought grilled tuna, bbq, and pansit for lunch. It was definitely a hearty lunch. We even had fruit salad for dessert.

It only costs Php 60 per head for five hours. We first thought the time was a bit short, but we were actually too tired by the time our time was up.

When we got home, my mom wanted to have a massage. My tita and I tagged along for a free trip to the spa! It was actually my first time to try out the steam bath coz I'd usually go for the sauna. I find the steam too much and felt a little claustrophobic. I think that was the most sweat I've ever produced in my whole lifetime! Anyway, I had a great massage. She even stepped on my back!

We had dinner at the nearby wanchai, courtesy of my tita. We just had some dimsum and lemon chicken and of course the usual yang chow rice. We were supposed to go home after but we made one more hirit to mom to watch ocean's thirteen at trinoma! Good thing she agreed. Hehehe!

It was such a fun sunday! I got to spend time with both my family and hunnie! I look forward to more weekends like that!

FX Story

I rode an FX awhile ago and there's this guy wearing a black shirt saying: "E ano kung engineering course mo?" I couldn't wait to see what it says at the back. We have this Engineering shirt kse in UP Diliman which says: "Eh ano kung uno ka? Eng'g ka ba?" This is what we called the angas shirt! (Ang yabang noh?) So there…I was really wondering what his shirt says.

Oooh…I hope he goes down soon so I can get a glimpse of it. I wonder what his course is… Well, he was listening to his ipod and annoyingly singing along with it …well lip sync lang pala. But dude was he sooo into the song! Like he would move his head like he was really into the groove of what he was listening to. Good thing I was wearing shades so he wouldn't suspect I was watching him.

Now that I've thought of it…why did I torture myself watching him? …I guess I was just really looking forward to seeing what's written at the back of his shirt.

And then he made para (shocks, so conio!) . I just gotta check out his back.

And this is what it said: "Mapua ka ba?"

Errr…no comment!

Moving on…

Lowest unique bid

Somebody won the lotto last sunday worth over a million bucks! Wow! Such easy money! I wonder what he gonna do with that huge amount of money. I also wonder how much he's already spent in betting numbers for the lotto.

Well, he could also push his luck and try out bid4prizes where all one has got to do is give out the lowest unique bid and he'll automatically win the prize he bid for. It's like acquiring free sweepstakes! It doesn't even have to cost a thing!

It's just exciting to know that just by thinking of a special number you can win a BMW 3 Series or a Philips 50" HDTV & Bose Surround Sound or even a 7 Day Mexican Riviera Cruise from Los Angeles, CA! I'm sure anybody would love to receive these free gifts! You can also opt to bid for a cash prize worth $500. It's such a no fuss game. Just give out a special number and start praying for all the luck in the world that it's the lowest unique bid!

Trinoma

I was at Trinoma yesterday, good thing their aircon was working well already unlike our first visit which was a bit unpleasant for us. A lot of shops are still closed, though. It's just great that they have powerbooks! (Yey!) I have yet to really familiarize myself with this mall. It's definitely a great change of ambiance from your usual SM North - who's actually very much threatened by Trinoma that they decided to renovate what used to be SM Annex (which is now in ruins!) Imagine they're starting from scratch again! It is rumored that an Imax theater will be constructed there!

I was just walking around the mall checking out some shops that catches my fancy. Then I passed by these card board models. Great concept I might say. It was executed really well.

Anyway, I can't wait when they finish the entire mall and all shops are fully functional already ...hopefully they open up Landmark soon as well.

UP Alumni Engineers

UP Alumni Engineers will be having a fellowship night just like last year to support the college. It will be held at the Manila Polo Club this coming June 18 at 6 pm.

In addition, UP CIEM (my beloved org) will be sponsoring three major fund raising activities this coming months. Included in the line up are: Back to school Penshoppe Sale on June 25-30 at Vinzon's Hall, Harry Potter V opening screening on July 11 at SM NorthEdsa-the BLock and Jag and Lee Sale on July 12-15 at UP ISSI.

Online Directory

Do you have a business of your own and want to market it to a wide range of customers? There are a lot of online directories that you can find in the internet where you can register your business. Being registered on an online directory would definitely provide good exposure to your business so it's highly recommended that you take advantage of this. You'll surely be able to reach out to your target customers in no time!

Consumers world wide checks out these online directories to read and write reviews. Through this, consumers are effectively informed on great finds!

My other blog

I have a new blog which I hope you guys will also visit. I decided to consolidate posts related to food, travel, photography, and some other stuff into that blog since I find it a bit hard to maintain separate blogs for these.

I hope you'll regularly visit it. Please do drop by my other site:

Chocolates!

Mateo, Andrea and Ramil's little angel is gonna be baptized on the 16th. Of course I'm one of the ninangs! I offered them that I'll do the souvenirs for them. I'm so excited to make chocolates again! Last time was during christmas season when I gave out chocolates as gifts. Hopefully I'll get to visit chocolate lovers pretty soon so I can buy the materials and decide on the packaging.

Scrappy contests

I would just like to share to fellow scrapbookers who are interested in joining online contests to try out this one. It challenges participants to "Create a Flower" and use it in a scrapbooking project. Deadline is June 10th, 2007. Great prizes are up for grabs!

I know Pia, Ria and Iris have been great inspirations to us. I hope more filipino scrapbookers will join these online contests and show the world how talented and creative filipino scrapbookers are!

I hope I can squeeze enough creative juices and have enough guts to send in an entry!

Altered box

I have already finished my altered box (from the scrapfest) ...though i feel that there's still something missing. More embellies? Ribbons? Tags? Oh well. I'll probably just alter it again when I get enlightened about it. Hehe!

I just inserted the only 6x6 LO I've finished so far since I haven't really finished the other 4 6x6 LO's. Oh well. I have yet to be inspired...

Getting to know my camera

I have yet to optimize my camera - an olympus c-760 ultrazoom. I've been blessed to have taken a number of nice photographs using it, considering a point and shoot style. I know there are a lot of things I still need to know about photography using digital camera. I plan to educate myself to shoot in manual mode and take better pictures. Taking those photography classes surely cost a lot! Good thing I was able to download my digicam's manual from the internet (i dunno where its orig manual is). Now I can experiment with the different settings. Hopefully I can share with you some new pictures soon using my (hopefully) improved skills.

By the way, I just recently discovered that I can actually buy a casing for my camera so I can use it underwater! Woohoo!!! More reason to save more mooolah!

Too good, but it's true!

We read a lot of stuff in the internet which we often find too good to be true. It's just sometimes too hard to believe.

Then I encountered Bid4Prizes where only you need to do to win a certain prize you want is just to give out the lowest unique bid. It's as easy as that! Prizes range from a BMW 3 Series, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Montague Paratrooper, and my favorite:$500 - cold hard cash! This is definitely not a scam! I know it's too good, but this is definitely true!

I can just imagine all the things I can buy with more money! More scrapbook stuff! Yey! And more travelling to places I wanna go to! I wonder how long that money can last! I've got a long list of things to buy and I won't be surprised how fast I can spend all that money! Oh well. Gotta think of that lowest bid to win!
