Random Acts of Kindness

As I have previously blogged, a friend sent me an ebook of Harry Potter (I just hope it's the original one since there are rumors that fake ones are circulating). As a random act of kindness, I sent a copy to those who left a comment on my other blog the other day. I knew that one way or another I was able to make some people happy with a simple act like that.

You know what they say about blessings returning a hundredth fold? I've been a believer of that and today just emphasized that even more.

I'm sooo happy today! I got a parcel today sent by Lisa Rudnick, a scrapbooker I met from one of the scrapbooking egroups I'm a member of. From the previous weeks, the group discussed about this random acts of kindness train...like scrapbookers from different countries would exchange scrapbooking stuff. The procedure isn't really clear but Lisa went on and did her random act of kindness and I'm her beneficiary! I'm so grateful she went through all the trouble of sending me a package all the way from the US. Who wouldn't be thrilled to receive these goodies:

It actually took quite awhile for the package to reach me. It was stamped: missent to malaysia. I can't believe how that is possible. My address was clearly written. Oh well. I'm just thankful it reached me.

I gotta put together pretty soon some scrapbooking materials and send them to the next beneficiary of the random acts of kindness train. I'm still thinking about how to go about in picking who to send it to. Lisa Rudnick has been soo generous. I'm not sure I can top her package, but I hope I also get to make someone happy with what I'll be sending.

I've been on a scrapbooking hiatus for the longest time, but receiving these goodies totally inspired me to scrapbook again!

I know the feeling. I was really chuffed when I was a beginner stamper receiving things from outsice the country as here in France it was nearly impossible to find anthing to do with card making or rubber stamping. I have even had parcels get to me via malaysia as well so sometimes I wonder, lol.

hugs,
Joanne
