i lost my wallet
I was at Ayala MRT station around 7:20pm...usual crowded station since it's rush hour. I hate myself for being not so vigilant. I usually am. Aaaargh! I was already on the escalator going down when I noticed that my bag has a big slash already and my wallet is gone. Darn it! I panicked a little...didn't know what to do...my knees became a bit weak. I had to pause for awhile at the side to compose myself. I knew I'm not getting my wallet back ever! haaaaaaaay! I called my sweetie first to tell him what happened. And for some reason, I had the urge to report it to the policeman at the entrance even if I know he can't do anything about it. Oh well. It was a good thing I still had some coins in my pocket enough to get me home.
I'm sooo hating this feeling. I'm usually vigilant and would usually consider myself street smart but after this incident I hated myself so much. I know what to do on crowded places yet at that moment I didn't do what I know I was supposed to do. Aaaaargh! I hate feeling stupid!
I just withdrawn 5k to pay for my credit card. Darn it! Swerte naman nya. Haaaaay! Super hassle lang to block my credit card and atms. I lost all my identification cards! Grrrrrr! What's worse is that the key to our house is in my wallet and I have IDs which has my address there. Now we have to replace our door lock! Haaaaay! Super hassle talaga! Oh, my starbucks card is there also - 2 stickers na lang, planner na sana (oh well..buti na lang hindi masyado maganda yung planner, di ako masyado nanghinayang). That wallet also had one of my sweetie's love letters inside. *sigh*
Oh well. Ang hirap talaga pag magpapasko na! Ang dme mandurukot! Kaya kayo, be extra careful!
I already had all my cards blocked. Super hasssssssssle!
Haaaaaay....I hope I get over this soon.
Life goes on... gotta move forward...

no more weddings...
Money from wedding coordination isn't really much (but of course the happiness and feeling of being able to help others is priceless). Of course I cannot charge high yet since I've only been doing this for a little of over a year and it's not even regular. It's not easy being a wedding planner since you deal with a lot of suppliers (around 15 suppliers on the average). Brides can attest how hard it is to plan for a wedding. Imagine planning 3-5 weddings in a year! And each couple have their own quirks and requests that you have to consider. It can really get pretty crazy at times. But I have never had any regrets. It's always worth it for me. At the end of every event, I feel a sense of pride and happiness that I was able to contribute significantly to other people's lives. At some point, I was able to deduce that probably my goal in life is to be a blessing to other people. Helping a couple prepare for a very momentous event in their lives is such an honor.
But I guess it's the case of not-because-you-can-means-you-should. I have to be practical and streamline my modes of earning. For around a year and a half, blogging has become my bread and butter. I think if I focus more on it and really exert more effort, I can still significantly increase my earnings. It's really a great opportunity since you can stay at home and still earn. You don't have any time schedule that you have to abide to (except probably posting deadlines). But you can basically do your blog posts in your jammies. Finish them and post them then go back to sleep.
If only I can put up more blogs, post more regularly, and take advantage of other online opportunities, I would be able to increase my monthly earnings. This would be more possible if my attention is not divided. I guess this is what's my sweetie is pointing out. He has seen how hard I work for my wedding planning stints which can spread out in a year per wedding. Earnings I get from that, I can easily earn in less than a month (sometimes even in less than a week) if I get to maintain more blogs.
Anyway, another reason why he probably wants me to stop my wedding coordination stint is probably because he wants me to focus on our own preps. With limited budget, it is going to be quite a challenge to plan for our own wedding.
Oh well...I would just have to finish my last wedding on January and that's it.
A friend recently asked me if I can do her wedding for next December... I already turned her down...

Dencio's
As we got in, we can’t help but notice a big group which had around 6 tables joined together to form a long table. It looks like someone is celebrating his birthday with family and friends. We were so envious with all the food that they ordered! Hahaha! Anyway, we decided to have their sisig (of course!), calamares, and pancit. My sweetie also ordered their pack of 3 beer. I’m refraining from drinking alcohol so I just had their unlimited iced tea which made visit the comfort room quite often.
Amusingly, Dencio’s have this certain tie up with Pugad Baboy. It was very apparent since their paper mats on the tables had Pugas Baboy comic strips on them. Even the tissue papers had Pugad Baboy on it. It looks like Pugad Baboy’s all over. I recently saw an MTV with them on it as well.

Birthday thoughts
I miss being a kid and having those kiddie parties and opening lots of gifts. Oh well. I usually celebrate my birthday with a party at home and invite my friends over. I don't think I'll have a party this year. I'm just a bit busy and not really in the mood to party. Well, I did have dinner with some college friends the other day which is like a pre-birthday celebration already (more details about the dinner on another post). Maybe we'll just have poker with my org friends and probably dinner with some high school friends 0ne of these days.

Anyway, my mind’s going crazy from juggling stuff so I better take a break and give this blog some luvin’. I’ll just give you a quick peek of what’s in store for me for the coming days.

new phone
I love that it has 8GB memory! Well, I still feel lazy to upload my mp3’s yet. It’s great that it also has a radio, 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities.
What I extra love about it is that I can now blog or at least write draft posts anywhere I am since I can use word there. I just really have to get used to the stylus so it would be faster to write. I just have to master the strokes so my handwriting would be recognized.
This is really going to be a useful tool for me! I just have to read the whole manual so I can optimize its use. I plan to buy a new sim for it since I want my main phone to still be my sony ericsson w800i since the new one looks so eye candy to snatchers.

Beads
I love doing a lot of things. There's this side of me craving to do some creative stuff. So besides doing some scrapbooking and making some chocolates, I also make accessories out of beads. I remember making around 200 pieces of bracelets and 100 pairs of earrings as souvenirs for my bestfriends' wedding. It was really fun although it took quite a bit of time to finish all of them. I just love playing around with those various beads and mix and matching them. In case you want to order, just email me at jenbaradas@yahoo.com. I'll probably make a multiply site for my beads pretty soon so watch out for it.

annoying my cat
I was just fooling around with my camera and just annoying our cat by disturbing her sleep. It was a rainy day and she was just snuggly trying to keep herself warm and desperately trying take a snooze. It was fun annoying her and calling her when I know she's almost asleep. I enjoyed taking her picture whenever she would look up sleepily. Hehe! It's fun annoying her!

I'm a white knight
Your distinct personality, The White Knight, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Don Quixote was a White Knight as was Joan of Arc, the Lone Ranger and Crusader Rabbit. As a White Knight you expect nothing in return for your good deeds. You are one of the true "Givers" of the world. You are the anonymous philanthropist who shares your wealth, your time and your life with others. To give, is its own reward and as a White Knight you seek no other. On the positive side you are merciful, sympathetic, helpful, giving and heroic. On the negative side you may be impulsively decisive, sentimental and misdirected. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

The Happening
I have seen the trailer a couple of times and I have been very curious what was causing the people to die. Well, I know it’s showing already and haven’t gotten the chance to watch it yet. I’m tempted to read reviews, but somehow I want to watch it without knowing any spoilers. A friend of mine said it was disturbing. Hmmm… I wonder if I’ll get to watch it at the movies. more training
I just got back from Nueva Ecija where I trained 10 teachers for TechFactors. I taught them the suggested curriculum for computer for grades 1-6 as well as for high school (1st to 3rd). I wasn't able to include Java anymore since that would take another 5 days.
It was a pretty long trip going there, buti na lang hinatid ako. I stayed at San Jose, Nueva Ecija from monday-thursday. I checked in at Hotel Tierra where I was able to taste Tapang Usa and Tapang Baboy Damo! The place isn't much but atleast it was decently clean. They also have a veranda which has a nice view of the mountains.
Tapang Baboy Damo with Egg and Sinangag - Php95.00
There weren't too many places to go to there, but their Cathedral looks really magnificent, it's one of the oldest in our country.
It was a pretty tiring since I was training from 8 am til 5 pm. Anyways, I'm glad it's over. Hopefully they learned a lot and get to apply those learnings. Next week, I'll be off to Pampanga for more training.

new watch
Of course a Rolex or a Bulgari can be too expensive. I’m not that ambitious and I find it too much to be gifted with such things. And besides, I’m not really into branded things. I mean, I would not really prefer something over another based purely on its brand. Of course there’s design, color, and quality that I would probably consider when choosing a watch. I’m really a practical person. Hehe! Anyway, maybe having two watches wouldn’t hurt. One would be for everyday use when I go out and one would be something fancier for formal affairs.
