changing jobs

How does one know what he really wants to do with his life? How does one determine what career path he wants to follow? I have a friend who used to have those kinds of risk management jobs. He’s a financial analyst in one of those insurance companies. He loves the job since he’s really into math, but after a few years ended up resigning from his corporate job and just opted to teach in a university. It was actually a surprising decision since we thought he was already steady with his job and loving it only to find out he has another calling. Well, I admire people who have the guts to turn things around and pursue what they really want to do. I know sometimes money can be very blinding, but at the end of the day, it’s what makes you happy that really matters the most.
