moving

My hubby’s mom is coming home for good already. I’m quite excited but at the same time a little scared to finally meet her. I hope she likes me for her son whom I really love! She’s been working in Canada for a few years already and is now returning. She’s already sent 5 big boxes of her things through International Shipping. A lot more are to follow since she’s accumulated a lot of stuff there already for her condo. She’ll probably need International Movers so she wouldn’t have a hard time dealing with moving all her stuff. It would be a big help if she visits InternationalMovers.com so it wouldn’t be too much a hassle for her to move.

merchant account

Shopping online can be such a breeze especially because there are Merchant Companies Processing credit cards which makes paying for your purchases so easy. I do enjoy shopping online but of course I’m extra careful making transactions and ensuring that I don’t go beyond my budget.

A lot are successful in their online businesses. Do you plan to put your business online? Merchant Account can help merchants with credit card services. If you want your online business to Accept Credit Cards Click Here! It’s really great with Transaction Rates Lower. I’m sure they’ll be a big help with your business. Check them out! Have your business Accept Visa/Mastercard Today! With a Processor Credit Card your consumers would have a hassle-free payment for their purchases

Updates

How time flies...

-o0o-

We'll be having a wedding next saturday at the Mango Farm in Antipolo. I really hope it doesn't rain! We had their rehearsal last saturday. It went well, although we still have to revise some stuff. Nothing to worry about. I'm excited already!

-o0o-

The couple whose wedding will be on Saturday also ordered chocolates from me as their souvenirs. It's for around 230 pax, which means I will be making around 1400 pcs of chocolates! Well, I'm still on schedule. I've made around 700 dark chocolates already. I'll be making 700 white chocolates by tomorrow.

If any of you are interested to buy chocolates from me, just email me at jenbaradas@yahoo.com. These can be for personal consumption, as gifts, or as souvenirs for your events.

photoshoot

Some updates on the photoshoot by the The Blog & Soul Movement:

1) It will be scheduled on a Saturday.
2) It will be held just outside of Metro Manila
3) Transportation and food will be provided for
4) It will be for the whole day
5) As part of our agreement with the host/sponsor pictures taken from
the event can and will be used by them. No guarantee is given that
when the pictures are used that it will be cited back to the one who
took the picture. However, we are also free to post the pictures
whenever or wherever we please.

We are looking at this event sometime this October.

more chocolates

I've been making chocolates for the past few days. It's for the wedding on saturday. They also got my service to make their souvenirs. All in all that would be around 1500 pieces of chocolates! I'm already done with the dark chocolates with rice crispies. Now I'm just finishing with the white chocolates. At first it was hard to resist taking a bite or two in each batch. Well, I guess I just consider that as taste testing. Hehe! But now that I'm on my 9th batch, I can't stand the taste and smell of chocolate anymore. I guess it was a little too much chocolate to see. Anyway, hopefully everything works out as planned and I get to finish all the packaging by tomorrow. That's what I'll probably be doing while watching the ateneo vs la salle game.

i hate wearing formal

We’ll be organizing a wedding this Saturday. I just realized that I would need to wear a formal attire for this one. As much as I don’t like wearing one, I just got to force myself to like it. If only I’m one of those skinny girls, I’d probably love wearing those sexy gowns and flaunting my body. Unfortunately I’m not one of those. I’d probably have to take a lot of diet pills before I become one of those. Well, I’m just really grateful that my sweetie loves me and accepts me just the way I am.

Boracay!!!

I was initially planning on making a different travel route. Originally I was thinking of traveling ALONE to dumaguete-siquijor-bohol on October. That was when I was on my soul searching phase. But now that I'm a bit enlightened already, I don't feel like like doing that trip alone. Well, since my hubby can't take a long leave of absence from work, we just decided to take a shorter trip. At least we're together! That's so much more fun than traveling alone, right? So after a couple of discussions and pondering, we decided to just go to Boracay since we both haven't been there. We've already booked our tickets (Oct 20-22) but we haven't really finalized our accommodation plans. Hopefully we get to make reservations this week already. I'm just sooo excited! This is really something to look forward to in October!

scrap and shop

The Scrapfest is fast approaching. I’m really excited since I haven’t scrapped for quite some time already. I’ve got lots of pictures waiting to be scrapped. Well, looks like the creative fairy hasn’t visited me yet. It usually takes me quite some time before I finish a layout. But when I’m really in the mood, I can scrap away 3-4 layouts in just one sitting.

Anyway, one of the things I love about the Scrapfest, besides the very educational tutorials, is the shopping part! I really feel giddy whenever I set my eyes on those goodies. Well, I’m just really glad that these suppliers have their stuff available online already so I really don’t have to wait for the Scrapfest to do my shopping. They got their own ecommerce software, a virtual shopping cart, to help out customers when picking out what stuff to order. Well, I extra love shopping at the Scrapfest since they usually offer discounts there. Who doesn’t love discounts, right?

vehicle tracking device

I’ve always felt that our neighborhood is one peaceful safe place. I had this notion until one of our neighbors, who’s actually an actress, had her car stolen. It was actually rumored that it was another neighbor (rumored to be a drug addict) who stole it. It took them quite some time to retrieve the car, but after a few weeks the police were able to find it and returned it to the owner. Well, probably if it had a vehicle tracking device, it would have been easier to locate. It can give satellite photos and near real-time location updates. Thanks to GPS tracking. It’s great that these kinds of technologies are being developed in order to provide solutions to problems. Probably if all cars have these installed, car owners would always feel secure that their vehicle won’t get stolen since bad people would be hesitant to steal cars already. They won’t get away from the dirty deed, indeed!

Cheering competition

Congrats to UP for being the champions once again for the UAAP Cheering competition. Too bad I wasn't able to watch it and just have to resort to You tube to see their performance. Of course me and my hubby would tease each other who is better, UP or UST (his alma mater). I do acknowledge that UST Salinggawi really is good, but then again, UP is still better. *snicker*

Anyway, a friend just forwarded this picture of La Salle's performance. Funny lang and medyo nakakahiya... hehe!

Best Friend's Wedding

I recently caught Bestfriend's Wedding at HBO recently. I think I've watched that movie more than a dozen times! I actually have an original VCD of it, given to me by one of my bestfriends on my debut. I've actually almost memorized the lines. But guess what, there are scenes that still makes me cry! I don't know why, but they just do. I guess I'm just really a sucker for these kinds of movies!

wedding rehearsal

We'll be having a wedding rehearsal at the Mango Farm in Antipolo this coming weekend. I just really hope it doesn't rain on both the rehearsal and the actual wedding. The place looks really nice and very ideal for a wedding. I hope everything goes out as planned. I always pray to God that He uses me as His hand to create beautiful weddings.

going to davao

My mom is going to Davao on the 29th for a convention. The convention proper actually start on the 30th but she plans to do some sight seeing first so she booked a day early. She's actually ordering me to come up for an itinerary for her since she knows I've been to Davao twice already. Well, she can visit the Philippine Eagle, Crocodile Farm, Eden Park, and Samal Island. I don't think that can fit in a day so I'll probably just ask her which of those places are her priority to visit. I'd probably buy her a map to help her get around.

changing jobs

How does one know what he really wants to do with his life? How does one determine what career path he wants to follow? I have a friend who used to have those kinds of risk management jobs. He’s a financial analyst in one of those insurance companies. He loves the job since he’s really into math, but after a few years ended up resigning from his corporate job and just opted to teach in a university. It was actually a surprising decision since we thought he was already steady with his job and loving it only to find out he has another calling. Well, I admire people who have the guts to turn things around and pursue what they really want to do. I know sometimes money can be very blinding, but at the end of the day, it’s what makes you happy that really matters the most.

call abroad

Almost all of us have friends and relatives abroad. Probably you have a husband in United Arab Emirates or probably a sister Switzerland or a great friend in Australia. I’m sure you miss them and they miss you too. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear their voice for just a few minutes? I guess what’s holding you back from calling them is your phone bill. I know it can really cost a lot to call abroad.

love endures

I'm happy how things are between my hubby and I lately. I know we've been through a couple of trials, and I'm pretty sure there'll be lots more. I'm just being optimistic that whatever happens, we'll always be here for each other and that our love can endure all those trials. I know sometimes we feel like giving up already, but whenever we think about it, we just can't imagine our lives without the other. I know in the right time, we'll be able to get married and raise a family of our own. It really is exciting just thinking about it. I hope everything goes well according to our plans

beauty institutes

I got an invitation from one of my wedding supplier friends for a workshop on make-up. She has her own salon already and is willing to share knowledge on how to put on a decent make-up. I would probably join, if it didn’t fall into the schedule of rehearsal for one of the weddings I’m doing. I would really love to learn more about putting make-up since I really don’t know much about it. It’s either I put on something light or end up looking like a clown. If I had the money and passion for it, I’d probably even enroll in one of those regency beauty institutes. Make-up artists are paid pretty well in the US. Well, right now, I just need to learn the basics

you can dance

There’s nothing good to watch on TV on Saturdays. I miss the days when I’d watch Pinoy Big Brother and I can't wait for the new season. That's really one of my guilty pleasures. Well, whenever me and my hubby just decide to stay at home we usually just end up watching You Can Dance. I do admit getting entertained watching those graceful couples do some ballroom dancing especially when they do all those stunts. I admire those who ballroom dance since it takes enough body coordination and timing to really look graceful doing it. Well, let’s see who ends up being the wild card this week.

study room

Since I’m working at home, I’m planning on redecorating our study room so that it’s more conducive for working since right now it’s too cramped and a bit messy. A nice computer table like the ones Bush furniture is offering would be a really useful one. It’s sturdy yet stylish. We probably need bigger shelves so we can organize all the stuff that we have. Of course it would help discarding all the unnecessary stuff that we’ve accumulated which ends up getting stocked up at the study room, making it more like a storage room.

Karisma Hotels

Whether it’s a honeymoon or a weekend get-away and you’re looking for some one of a kind place to go to, there are a lot suggesting that you check out Riviera Maya in Mexico. I know it’s a little bit far but they say it’s worth the trip. There are several Karisma Hotels you can choose from, but whichever your choice is, you are guaranteed of a very memorable experience. With their service oriented staff you’d probably feel like Kings and Queens. These hotels are also known for their food. Whether you prefer Asian, Mexican, Italian, or Seafood they would surely satisfy your cravings and give you a one of a kind dining experience.

Swiss army

I have always been amused with those Swiss Army knives. It’s such a cool small tool! You’ll be surprised at the numerous uses you can make out of it. Well, I just found out recently that Swiss Army just doesn’t only make those kinds of knives but are also into manufacturing of luggages, backpacks, wheeled duffel bags, trek packs, briefcases, and even laptop cases. You can bet on the quality of their products. If you want stylish bags with guaranteed durability, then check out what Swiss Army has to offer.

getting a car

My hubby and I went to the mall last weekend. We’d usually just go window shopping and just buying the necessities. Besides those close to annoying sales people who kept on handing out those fliers about some condo or town house, one of the things that caught our attention was the car displayed at the middle of the hall. It looked really pretty! It’s actually an Aveo. My best friends were supposed to buy one and were really raving about the car, but they had to save their money for their little boy since she was pregnant at that time.

Their booth was entertaining inquiries about the payment schemes and even can also give you a car insurance quote. The insurance part is very important thing to consider related to buying a car. Specially that I’m not confident with my driving skills, I need some assurance that I’m in good hands no matter what happens. We’d certainly need a car insurance with very wide coverage. There are varying auto insurance rates depending on your needs. There is even teen car insurance available already. I hope we get a good deal when we finally get to buy a car. Oh well. It’s not really a priority now since before that, we still need to consider the wedding and the house.

car stuff

My best friend’s car has been giving them troubles lately. It’s been with them for quite some time already and has really served them well. Lately it seemed to be giving up on them every once in awhile. The last time, it just conked out on them just a few meters before their house. I guess it was radiator problems at that time and they had to replace their Honda Radiator. They’ve been thinking of buying a new one but whenever they really start to seriously consider it, their old car just shapes up and stops giving them problems, as if trying to say “Please don’t replace me. I promise to do better!”

emergency money

If you’re in dire need for money for emergency reasons, you might want to consider getting a cash advance. Sometimes there are really instances when you are caught off guard and you just need that extra money. It’s either there’s an accident or somebody in the family gets really sick. Somehow you just can’t prepare enough for these kinds of things. It is very unfortunate to be in this kind of situation and is not that easy to get your way out of it. Well, Cashadvance1500.com would probably be a big help for you. You can apply online and borrow from any amount from $100 to $1500. You can do this securely and anonymously. The process is so fast you can even get your cash advance wired overnight to your checking or savings account. It is indeed very quick and convenient. There are several loan criteria, but it does not require credit check. Some factors looked into are: employment status, minimum income and an active checking or savings account. Try visiting their site and read through it to get more information. Options like getting cash advance loans or pay day loans are really much better options rather than resorting to stealing or even selling your property just to get that emergency money.

new cool gadgets

My dad is so much into gadgets. He just bought a new laptop, digital camera, high definition video camera, and a projector. Of course I’m not complaining since I certainly would be able to use all these cool gadgets. We already have video cam but he just couldn’t get over this new model which he feels he just have to have. I can’t wait for him to go on December to try out all these stuff. My mom doesn’t know about all his purchases yet. She’ll probably blow up with all the purchases my dad has been making. Well, I can’t blame my dad. It’s the only time he is really enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Doodle stuff

Just sharing:

Fresh from their recent doodling stints at Powerplant Mall and Embassy, the WeeWillDoodle group is again taking their doodling to a whole new level. This time it's at Fully Booked , where their drawings will be exhibited on Moleskine Pocket Japanese books, those oh-so-lovely accordion-type notebooks.

The exhibit opens on September 21, Friday, 7pm at the atrium of Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City.

The WeeWillDoodle group will be drawing on T-shirts too (doodleyershirt), so if you want a piece of their work, don't forget to bring your own shirt!

Fifty goodie bags will also be given out to some lucky folks.

This exhibit was put together by Fully Booked, PinoyCentric, and Project Manila.

-------------------------

Please visit ProjectManila.com to register for doodleyershirt (read 3rd paragraph). Don't forget to include your name, email and URL. (Limited slots only)

dream house dreaming

My hubby and I have been pondering on whether to have a church wedding and just rent a house afterwards or just get civilly wed and just use up our savings into buying a house. Well, looks like we’re going to have the church wedding and delaying the purchase of our own house. I guess he’s just a little pressured to give me a nice wedding since I’m into wedding coordination myself. Well, I’ve always assured him that it doesn’t matter to me what type of ceremony we have, what’s more important is that we’ll be legally together already and we can start a family of our own. It’s just really nice building dreams with my hubby. We’ve talked a lot of times how our dream house would be. I want a fountain in front and a swimming pool at the back while he wants to have a billiards room and just requires that the location of the house is not noisy, where vehicles regularly pass. I also want a nice garden and probably a hammock we can lounge at during those lazy weekend afternoons. A conservatory would also probably a breath of fresh air inside the house. I want our house with high ceilings but none of those fancy chandeliers. That’s just not us. Oh well, I can’t wait to have our house of our own and decorate it just the way we want to.

cellular sales

I am just amazed how many cellular models there are available right now. And they just keep on coming. The evolution of cellular phones has gone to a higher level. The cellular sales have probably growing since cellular phones are now considered as one of the essential gadgets that everybody probably needs. Some companies have gone to the path of making models as thin as possible, others putting in as much feature as you can load into that gadget. Taking photos and videos are now ordinary features. You can now even see who you’re talking to real time. You can even surf the net and send out emails. I guess the consumers are really winners with all the cellular companies competing and developing the next best cell phone available.

Erap guilty of plunder

I watched history unfold and witness the conviction of a former president of our country. A first in our history which actually shows that no one is above the law, that even the highest official can be convicted for their wrong doings.

Well, I hope this is just not a show. It doesn't stop here. It shouldn't stop here. We all know that there's a whole bunch of thieves in the government. I doubt that they can eliminate all of those. I hope there's still hope.

Rehabs

I’m sure you have hear about some Hollywood actors, actresses, singers, and models who have come and gone to rehabs, whether it’s because of drugs or alcohol. A lot have graced the papers, tabloids, and entertainment news every so often because of this. Well, I’m not sure if they mind the bad publicity. You know how it is in their industry. It still is publicity. And besides, being put into rehabs like the Malibu Alcohol Rehab doesn’t seem too bad with all the luxuries facilities provided which would ensure their comfort. This is certainly a big help so that they can cope up more easily with the fact that they are admitted into a rehab facility. They can even go hiking, surfing, and horse back riding if they want to. That’s how nice those rehabs can be. It’s really just like going into a vacation, except that there’s a certain program that you have to follow. The main objective really is to help their patients overcome their addiction. The rehab is privately situated somewhere where they can get away from the limelight for awhile so that they can just focus on what their real situation is. With a well put program, comfortable facilities, and appropriate environment, patients are able to face their addiction and quit from it.

multivend

Vending machines have been on business for quite some time already. It’s one business one can go into when one doesn’t want to much hassle yet earn big money. It’s just a matter of finding a good location where to put the vending machine like multivend. Of course you would want to put it where there is high traffic where it’s close to your target market. You offer your customers the convenience of making available to them easily the things that they need. They say you can actually get up to 80% profit margin from these vending machines. It looks so enticing especially to those who want to stay at home yet still earn money. You can be your own boss and you actually don’t need any staff since all you need is to just replenish the vending machines every once in a while.

new house

My best friend just moved into a new house. A bigger one place is inevitable since they already have a growing little baby boy and his baby sitter. I’m excited to check it out pretty soon. It’s great since it’s nearer to their work place. They’re into decorating it now. They have a nice garden which they’ll probably add more flowering plants too. The place is a bit furnished already but they’ll probably add some quoizel lighting and other interior decorating options to give it a personal touch. Well, I can’t wait for their house warming!

hobbyists

There are a lot of different kinds of hobbyists. Some are into stamps, which I was actually into when I was a little younger, some are into coins, while some are into collecting toy cars or comics. While others are into rocks, who even have their own rock tumblers which tumble rocks over and over and sometimes even polishes them at the same time. Well, whatever these hobbyists are into, you can’t help but admire them for being passionate at what they’re into.

next stage

How time flies. Almost all my friends are either planning for their wedding, or they’re pregnant, or they already have their own kids. I think our age group is at that stage in life. I, myself, can’t wait to have a family of my own. As me and my hubby have forecasted, we’d probably get married by June 2009. The date is not yet definite, though. Hopefully, by that time we already have enough money for the wedding and for renting and furnishing our own house. I’m happy for my friends who have a family of their own already. Seeing their kids really excite me to have my own soon. Although hearing some of their pregnancy and early parental stories can sometimes scare me and make me ask myself if I’m ready for those. It’s just really great that there are a lot of parenting resources available. Having these readily available references can really be comforting. Oh well, I still got a little more time in my hands to prepare for those.

my dream vacation house

Someday I hope to have one of those vacation houses in the province, one where I can stay and enjoy the fresh air. It would really be a big bonus if it's by the beach or even just near it! I can imagine it to have white picket fences and like one of those nice traditional mail boxes in front. I want one with a nice garden, with lots of flowering plants and a grotto at one corner. A small orchard at the back would be great also. I can imagine harvesting home grown fruits from those fruit bearing trees! A man made pond would probably be also nice. I want the house to be all white and have that cozy feel. I wouldn’t mind living in this type of house away from the city when I’m old and gray already.

dishwasher

Buying appliances should be treated seriously. It’s considered an investment since you’d be using it for a number of years. Of course you want something that would serve its purpose well and would be efficient in doing it. You don’t want something that would break down on you every so often. It would be really wise to research on the different brands and models available. Canvass and compare features and prices so that when you finally decide which one you’re getting, you’re at least sure you’re getting what you really want and need. Look over the different models of KitchenAid Dishwashers. You might find one that would suit your household needs pretty well.

101 BEST THINGS ABOUT PINOY

1. Merienda. Where else is it normal to eat five times a day?

2. Sawsawan. Assorted sauces that guarantee freedom of choice, enough room for experimentation and maximum tolerance for diverse tastes. Favorites: toyo't calamansi, suka at sili, patis.

3. Kuwan, ano. At a loss for words? Try these and marvel at how Pinoys understand exactly what you want.

4. Pinoy humor and irreverence. If you're "api" and you know it, crack a joke. Nothing personal, really.

5. Tingi. Thank goodness for small entrepreneurs. Where else can we buy cigarettes, soap, condiments and life's essentials in small affordable amounts?

6. Spirituality. Even before the Spaniards came, ethnic tribes had their own anitos, bathalas and assorted deities, pointing to a strong relationship with the Creator, who or whatever it may be.

7. Po, opo, mano po. Speech suffixes that define courtesy, deference, filial respect–a balm to the spirit in these aggressive times.

8. Pasalubong. Our way of sharing the vicarious thrills and delights of a trip, and a wonderful excuse to shop without the customary guilt.

9. Beaches! With 7,000 plus islands, we have miles and miles of shoreline piled high with fine white sand, lapped by warm waters, and nibbled by exotic tropical fish. From the stormy seas of Batanes to the emerald isles of Palawan–over here, life is truly a beach.

10. Bagoong. Darkly mysterious, this smelly fish or shrimp paste typifies the underlying theme of most ethnic foods: disgustingly unhygienic, unbearably stinky and simply irresistible.

11. Bayanihan. Yes, the internationally-renowned dance company, but also this habit of pitching in still common in small communities. Just have that cold beer and some pulutan ready for the troops.

12. The Balikbayan box. Another way of sharing life's bounty, no matter if it seems like we're fleeing Pol Pot every time we head home from anywhere in the globe. The most wonderful part is that, more often than not, the contents are carted home to be distributed.

13. Pilipino komiks. Not to mention "Hiwaga," "Aliwan," "Tagalog Classics," "Liwayway" and"Bulaklak" magazines. Pulpy publications that gave us Darna, Facifica Falayfay, Lagalag, Kulafu, Kenkoy, Dyesebel, characters of a time both innocent and worldly.

14. Folk songs. They come unbidden and spring, full blown, like a second language, at the slightest nudge from the too-loud stereo of a passing jeepney or tricycle.

15. Fiesta. Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow is just another day, shrugs the poor man who, once a year, honors a patron saint with this sumptuous, no-holds-barred spread. It's a Pinoy celebration at its pious and riotous best.

16. Aswang, manananggal, kapre. The whole underworld of Filipino lower mythology recalls our uniquely bizarre childhood, that is, before political correctness kicked in. Still, their rich adventures pepper our storytelling.

17. Jeepneys. Colorful, fast, reckless, a vehicle of postwar Pinoy ingenuity, this Everyman's communal cadillac makes for a cheap, interesting ride. If the driver's a daredevil (as they usually are), hang on to your seat.

18. Dinuguan. Blood stew, a bloodcurdling idea, until you try it with puto. Best when mined with jalape쨚 peppers. Messy but delicious.

19. Santacruzan. More than just a beauty contest, this one has religious overtones, a tableau of St. Helena's and Constantine's search for the Cross that seamlessly blends piety, pageantry and ritual. Plus, it's the perfect excuse to show off the prettiest ladies–and the most beautiful gowns.

20. Balut. Unhatched duck's embryo, another unspeakable ethnic food to outsiders, but oh, to indulge in guilty pleasures! Sprinkle some salt and suck out that soup, with gusto.

21. Pakidala. A personalized door-to-door remittance and delivery system for overseas Filipino workers who don't trust the banking system, and who expect a family update from the courier, as well.

22. Choc-nut. Crumbly peanut chocolate bars that defined childhood ecstasy before M & M's and Hershey's.

23. Kamayan style. To eat with one's hand and eschew spoon, fork and table manners–ah, heaven.

24. Chicharon. Pork, fish or chicken crackling. There is in the crunch a hint of the extravagant, the decadent and the pedestrian. Perfect with vinegar, sublime with beer.

25. Pinoy hospitality. Just about everyone gets a hearty "Kain tayo!" invitation to break bread with whoever has food to share, no matter how skimpy or austere it is.

26. Adobo, kare-kare, sinigang and other lutong bahay stuff. Home-cooked meals that have the stamp of approval from several generations, who swear by closely-guarded cooking secrets and family recipes.

27. Lola Basyang. The voice one heard spinning tales over the radio, before movies and television curtailed imagination and defined grown-up tastes.

28. Pambahay. Home is where one can let it all hang out, where clothes do not make a man or woman but rather define their level of comfort.

29. Tricycle and trisikad, the poor Pinoy's taxicab that delivers you at your doorstep with a complimentary dusting of polluted air.

30. Dirty ice cream. Very Pinoy flavors that make up for the risk: munggo, langka, ube, mais, keso, macapuno. Plus there's the colorful cart that recalls jeepney art.

31. Yayas. The trusted Filipino nanny who, ironically, has become a major Philippine export as overseas contract workers. A good one is almost like a surrogate parent–if you don't mind the accent and the predilection for afternoon soap and movie stars.

32. Sarsi. Pinoy rootbeer, the enduring taste of childhood. Our grandfathers had them with an egg beaten in.

33. Pinoy fruits. Atis, guyabano, chesa, mabolo, lanzones, durian, langka, makopa, dalanghita, siniguelas, suha, chico, papaya, singkamas–the possibilities!

34. Filipino celebrities. Movie stars, broadcasters, beauty queens, public officials, all-around controversial figures: Aurora Pijuan, Cardinal Sin, Carlos P. Romulo, Charito Solis, Cory Aquino, Emilio Aguinaldo, the Eraserheads, Fidel V. Ramos, Francis Magalona, Gloria Diaz, Manuel L. Quezon, Margie Moran, Melanie Marquez, Ninoy Aquino, Nora Aunor, Pitoy Moreno, Ramon Magsysay, Richard Gomez, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Sharon Cuneta, Gemma Cruz, Erap, Tiya Dely, Mel and Jay, Gary V.

35. World class Pinoys who put us on the global map: Manny Pacquiao, Lea Salonga, Paeng Nepomuceno, Eugene Torre, Luisito Espinosa, Lydia de Vega-Mercado, Jocelyn Enriquez, Elma Muros, Onyok Velasco, Efren "Bata" Reyes, Lilia Calderon-Clemente, Loida Nicolas-Lewis, Josie Natori.

36. Pinoy tastes. A dietitian's nightmare: too sweet, too salty, too fatty, as in burong talangka, itlog na maalat, crab fat (aligue), bokayo, kutchinta, sapin-sapin, halo-halo, pastilyas, palitaw, pulburon, longganisa, tuyo, ensaymada, ube haleya, sweetened macapuno and garbanzos. Remember, we're the guys who put sugar (horrors) in our spaghetti sauce. Yum!

37. The sights. Banaue Rice Terraces, Boracay, Bohol's Chocolate Hills, Corregidor Island, Fort Santiago, the Hundred Islands, the Las Pi?s Bamboo Organ, Rizal Park, Mt. Banahaw, Mayon Volcano, Taal Volcano. A land of contrasts and ever-changing landscapes.

38. Gayuma, agimat and anting-anting. Love potions and amulets. How the socially-disadvantaged Pinoy copes.

39. Barangay Ginebra, Jaworski, PBA, MBA and basketball. How the verticaly-challenged Pinoy compensates, via a national sports obsession that reduces fans to tears and fist fights.

40. People Power at EDSA. When everyone became a hero and changed Philippine history overnight.

41. San Miguel Beer and pulutan. "Isa pa nga!" and the Philippines' most popular, world-renowned beer goes well with peanuts, corniks, tapa, chicharon, usa, barbecue, sisig, and all manner of spicy, crunchy and cholesterol-rich chasers.

42. Resiliency. We've survived 400 years of Spanish rule, the US bases, Marcos, the 1990 earthquake, lahar, lambada, Robin Padilla, and Tamagochi. We'll survive Erap.

43. Yoyo. Truly Filipino in origin, this hunting tool, weapon, toy and merchandising vehicle remains the best way to "walk the dog" and "rock the baby," using just a piece of string.

44. Pinoy games: Pabitin, palosebo, basagan ng palayok. A few basic rules make individual cunning and persistence a premium, and guarantee a good time for all.

45. Ninoy Aquino. For saying that "the Filipino is worth dying for,'' and proving it.

46. Balagtasan. The verbal joust that brings out rhyme, reason and passion on a public stage.

47. Tabo. All-powerful, ever-useful, hygienically-triumphant device to scoop water out of a bucket _ and help the true Pinoy answer nature's call. Helps maintain our famously stringent toilet habits.

48. Pandesal. Despite its shrinking size, still a good buy. Goes well with any filling, best when hot.

49. Jollibee. Truly Pinoy in taste and sensibility, and a corporate icon that we can be quite proud of. Do you know that it's invaded the Middle East, as well?

50. The butanding, the dolphins and other creatures in our blessed waters. They're Pinoys, too, and they're here to stay. Now if some folks would just stop turning them into daing.

51. Pakikisama. It's what makes people stay longer at parties, have another drink, join pals in sickness and health. You can get dead drunk and still make it home.

52. Sing-a-long. Filipinos love to sing, and thank God a lot of us do it well!

53. Kayumanggi. Neither pale nor dark, our skin tone is beautifully healthy, the color of a rich earth or a mahogany tree growing towards the sun.

54. Handwoven cloth and native weaves. Colorful, environment-friendly alternatives to polyester that feature skillful workmanship and a rich indigenous culture behind every thread. From the pinukpok of the north to the malong of the south, it's the fiber of who we are.

55. Movies. Still the cheapest form of entertainment, especially if you watch the same movie several times.

56. Bahala na. We cope with uncertainty by embracing it, and are thus enabled to play life by ear.

57. Papaitan. An offal stew flavored with bile, admittedly an acquired taste, but pointing to our national ability to acquire a taste for almost anything.

58. English. Whether carabao or Arr-neoww-accented, it doubles our chances in the global marketplace.

59. The Press. Irresponsible, sensational, often inaccurate, but still the liveliest in Asia. Otherwise, we'd all be glued to TV.

60. Divisoria. Smelly, crowded, a pickpocket's paradise, but you can get anything here, often at rock-bottom prices. The sensory overload is a bonus.

61. Barong Tagalog. Enables men to look formal and dignified without having to strangle themselves with a necktie. Worn well, it makes any ordinary Juan look marvelously makisig.

62. Filipinas. They make the best friends, lovers, wives. Too bad they can't say the same for Filipinos.

63. Filipinos. So maybe they're bolero and macho with an occasional streak of generic infidelity; they do know how to make a woman feel like one.

64. Catholicism. What fun would sin be without guilt? Jesus Christ is firmly planted on Philippine soil.

65. Dolphy. Our favorite, ultra-durable comedian gives the beleaguered Pinoy everyman an odd dignity, even in drag.

66. Style. Something we often prefer over substance. But every Filipino claims it as a birthright.

67. Bad taste. Clear plastic covers on the vinyl-upholstered sofa, posters of poker-playing dogs masquerading as art, overaccessorized jeepneys and altars–the list is endless, and wealth only seems to magnify it.

68. Mangoes. Crisp and tart, or lusciously ripe, they evoke memories of family outings and endless sunshine in a heart-shaped package.

69. Unbridled optimism. Why we rank so low on the suicide scale.

70. Street food: Barbecue, lugaw, banana-cue, fishballs, IUD (chicken entrails), adidas (chicken feet), warm taho. Forget hepatitis; here's cheap, tasty food with gritty ambience.

71. The siesta. Snoozing in the middle of the day is smart, not lazy.

72. Honorifics and courteous titles: Kuya, ate, diko, ditse, ineng, totoy, Ingkong, Aling, Mang, etc. No exact English translation, but these words connote respect, deference and the value placed on kinship.

73. Heroes and people who stood up for truth and freedom. Lapu-lapu started it all, and other heroes and revolutionaries followed: Diego Silang, Macario Sakay, Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Apolinario Mabini, Melchora Aquino, Gregorio del Pilar, Gabriela Silang, Miguel Malvar, Francisco Balagtas, Juan Luna, Marcelo H. del Pilar, Panday Pira, Emilio Jacinto, Raha Suliman, Antonio Luna, Gomburza, Emilio Aguinaldo, the heroes of Bataan and Corregidor, Pepe Diokno, Satur Ocampo, Dean Armando Malay, Evelio Javier, Ninoy Aquino, Lola Rosa and other comfort women who spoke up, honest cabbie Emilio Advincula, Rona Mahilum, the women lawyers who didn't let Jalosjos get away with rape.

74. Flora and fauna. The sea cow (dugong), the tarsier, calamian deer, bearcat, Philippine eagle, sampaguita, ilang-ilang, camia, pandan, the creatures that make our archipelago unique.

75. Pilipino songs, OPM and composers: "Ama Namin," "Lupang Hinirang," "Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal," "Ngayon at Kailanman," "Anak," "Handog,""Hindi Kita Malilimutan," "Ang Pasko ay Sumapit"; Ryan Cayabyab, George Canseco, Restie Umali, Levi Celerio, Manuel Francisco, Freddie Aguilar, and Florante–living examples of our musical gift.

76. Metro Aides. They started out as Imelda Marcos' groupies, but have gallantly proven their worth. Against all odds, they continuously prove that cleanliness is next to godliness–especially now that those darned candidates' posters have to be scraped off the face of Manila!

77. Sari-sari store. There's one in every corner, offering everything from bananas and floor wax to Band-Aid and bakya.

78. Philippine National Red Cross. PAWS. Caritas. Fund drives. They help us help each other.

79. Favorite TV shows through the years: "Tawag ng Tanghalan," "John and Marsha," "Champoy," "Ryan, Ryan Musikahan," "Kuwarta o Kahon," "Public Forum/Lives," "Student Canteen," "Eat Bulaga." In the age of inane variety shows, they have redeemed Philippine television.

80. Quirks of language that can drive crazy any tourist listening in: "Bababa ba?" "Bababa!"

81. "Sayang!" "Naman!" "Kadiri!" "Ano ba!?" "pala." Expressions that defy translation but wring out feelings genuinely Pinoy.

82. Cockfighting. Filipino men love it more than their wives (sometimes).

83. Dr. Jose Rizal. A category in himself. Hero, medicine man, genius, athlete, sculptor, fictionist, poet, essayist, husband, lover, samaritan, martyr. Truly someone to emulate and be proud of, anytime, anywhere.

84. Nora Aunor. Short, dark and homely-looking, she redefined our rigid concept of how leading ladies should look.

85. Noranian or Vilmanian. Defines the friendly rivalry between Ate Guy Aunor and Ate Vi Santos and for many years, the only way to be for many Filipino fans.

86. Filipino Christmas. The world's longest holiday season. A perfect excuse to mix our love for feasting, gift-giving and music and wrap it up with a touch of religion.

87. Relatives and kababayan abroad. The best refuge against loneliness, discrimination and confusion in a foreign place. Distant relatives and fellow Pinoys readily roll out the welcome mat even on the basis of a phone introduction or referral.

88. Festivals: Sinulog, Ati-atihan, Moriones. Sounds, colors, pagan frenzy and Christian overtones.

89. Folk dances. Tinikling, pandanggo sa ilaw, kari?sa, kuratsa, itik-itik, alitaptap, rigodon. All the right moves and a distinct rhythm.

90. Native wear and costumes. Baro't saya, tapis, terno, saya, salakot, bakya. Lovely form and ingenious function in the way we dress.

91. Sunday family gatherings. Or, close family ties that never get severed. You don't have to win the lotto or be a president to have 10,000 relatives. Everyone's family tree extends all over the archipelago, and it's at its best in times of crisis; notice how food, hostesses, money, and moral support materialize during a wake?

92. Calesa and karitela. The colorful and leisurely way to negotiate narrow streets when loaded down with a year's provisions.

93. Quality of life. Where else can an ordinary employee afford a stay-in helper, a yaya, unlimited movies, eat-all-you-can buffets, the latest fashion (Baclaran nga lang), even Viagra in the black market?

94. All Saints' Day. In honoring our dead, we also prove that we know how to live.

95. Handicrafts. Shellcraft, rattancraft, abaca novelties, woodcarvings, banig placemats and bags, bamboo windchimes, etc. Portable memories of home. Hindi lang pang-turista, pang-balikbayan pa!

96. Pinoy greens. Sitaw. Okra. Ampalaya. Gabi. Munggo. Dahon ng Sili. Kangkong. Luya. Talong. Sigarillas. Bataw. Patani. Lutong bahay will never be the same without them.

97. OFWs. The lengths (and miles) we'd go for a better life for our family, as proven by these modern-day heroes of the economy.

98. The Filipino artist. From Luna's magnificent "Spoliarium" and Amorsolo's sun-kissed ricefields, to Ang Kiukok's jarring abstractions and Borlongan's haunting ghosts, and everybody else in between. Hang a Filipino painting on your wall, and you're hanging one of Asia's best.

99. Tagalog soap operas. From "Gulong ng Palad" and "Flor de Luna" to today's incarnations like "Mula sa Puso"–they're the story of our lives, and we feel strongly for them, MariMar notwithstanding.

100. Midnight madness, weekends sales, bangketas and baratillos. It's retail therapy at its best, with Filipinos braving traffic, crowds, and human deluge to find a bargain.

and….

101. Nurses, nurses, and nurses!!!.

Updates

I've been a bit busy these past few days and haven't really updated much. So what have I been up to lately?

Tuesday:
Went to Tagaytay to do some wedding preps errands for my clients. I went to Nurture Spa and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church and had lunch at Carlos Pizza.

Had midweek quality time with my hunnie and dinner at Volare. It's really great that he's not into night shift anymore.

Wednesday:
I attended the meeting for the Blog and Soul Movement. I had great conversation with Juned, Karlo, and Dhon. I hope the activities lined up for the movement all pushes through.

Thursday:
I missed my hubby so much, good thing he made a quick visit to replenish those badly needed hugs and kisses (ewww...cheesy! hehe!)

Friday:
I attended the Travel mart of Megamall to scout for some great travel deals since I haven't really finalized my travel plans for October.

We played poker again at Ronnie's house and ended up playing a few other card games like Hearts and Trumps. It was nice seeing Miles again...and seeing him inlove! hehehe!

Saturday:
Attended the Bloggers Kapihan at Pisay in the afternoon. It was great listening to celebrity bloggers like Bikoy, Abe, and Manolo. Great refreshing insights!

Spent some quality time with my hubby and had dinner at Avenneto. You can never go wrong with pizza and pasta

Sunday:
Me and my hubby made a big step and finally got to talk about our plans for our future in detail. Everything now looks a little more concrete. I hope we get to follow the amount we need to save every month! hehe!

Well, I'm just happy that things are going great! So far, I have totaled my earnings I can withdraw at the end of the month just from paid blogging and it already exceeded the amount I was getting from my past corporate job. I have additional income pa from my wedding planning and selling chocolates. Life is good!

hard times

Every when is your payday? Some have cut-offs every 10th and 25th of the month while others have it every 15th and 30th. Within that 15 day gap, people usually make do with what they have – which usually is really not much. Especially for people who only earn minimum wage, it really is hard to stretch the available budget. For yuppies who are not married yet, it usually is just enough for day to day living, probably enough to share some at home, buy cell phone load, and have a few drinks and go on gimmicks on Friday nights. Unfortunately for those who are the head of the family and needs to feed their kids and send them to school, it usually is a tough job making ends meet and would normally resort to getting those payday loan online. This can actually be a vicious cycle for them, but they’re left with no choice. What’s important is that they don’t resort to stealing and being part of those monkey businesses.

Positive Thinking...

Focus Only On The Goal

I have gotten involved with self help (I call it personal development.) I believe its a great way to live. It gives you full control of your life, you are in the driver's seat of your life. Anything anyone does or says can not influence your life unless you let it.

It's a very powerful way to live, no more excuses for anything in your life whether positive or negative.

You learn how to focus your thoughts on what it is you desire rather than what is happening in reality. It is a simple process but it is not easy.

We are conditioned to focus on our appearances rather than what it is we desire. You have to change your way of thinking, and it does take practice. People who use that process get discouraged if they don't see results right a way.

Some steps that I use to keep my mind on the goal are listed below; feel free to use them I hope the assist you in manifesting your goals:

1. Positive in positive out. Read books and watch movies based on personal development. The more you read about the more your subconscious will believe that you can do it as well.

2. Get a role model. Find a successful person who has accomplished something amazing. etc. Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey.

3. Journal everyday. Write down your accomplishments and your journey to your goals. I keep a gratitude journal so that I can feel successful from all my little accomplishments a regardless of whatever it is.

4. Create a vision board. Cut out pictures of things you want to accomplish. I have mine posted in my office upstairs. Every morning I look at it and visualize myself already having accomplished everything on the board. I put myself in the feeling space of already driving my Lexus SC convertible even though I do not own it yet.

5. Mastermind with other people who are working towards their goals. I have learned that a lot of my friends that I had before I got involved with personal development do not share the same beliefs I hold. They do not give you the support that will help you hang onto your goals regardless of adversity. I surround myself with others who will support me through my journey.

6. Never give up on your goals. If anyone ever told you it will be easy, they lied. It will take work on your part, but your persistence will pay off.

7. Find a proven system that will work for you. I have learned that you have to find a way that brings a ton of traffic to your website. What good is it if you have a website but do not have traffic. You might as well hang it up, if no one sees your site then you have no one to talk to about your product. It would be like opening up a store and not having any customers come to into your store.

8. Build a relationship with people, I have found that it is simple to post your ads on PPC. But when you take the time to develop a relationship then people tend to trust you more. I enjoy meeting new people, and realize that people usually do not buy when they first see your ad. Most people have to see the ad or product at least seven times before they feel comfortable and trust you enough to purchase a product from you.

9. Always be open to new ideas. Do not get tunnel visioned on just one opportunity. You might have something that is working wonderful, but never put your eggs in one basket. It's best to have a multiple income stream. If you have that then chances of you becoming financial free is much more better than just one income stream.

Last but not least watch your language. Get rid of words like try, should, maybe, can't, won't or any other disempowering words you can think of.

Do not ever give up and I believe if you truly desire something and you have enough faith in yourself to believe that you can achieve it, it will become a reality.

a healthier life

Sometimes I really do get frustrated on how to go about my much needed weight loss. It really doesn’t help that I have this tremendous passion for food – hence this blog was put up.

I really want to lose weight, not much for the improvement of my physical appearance since it really doesn’t matter too much to me. Knowing that my hubby loves me so much despite the excess pounds, is pretty much a confidence booster already. I can quote him saying, “I love you now and would still keep on loving you even if you get fatter!” That’s what you call true love! Hahaha! Well, my desire for losing weight is more for health reasons. I would love to live a longer and healthier life with the people I love. I would want to be healthy enough to be able to bear healthy normal babies and be healthy enough to raise them and watch them grow up. I would want to be healthier so I can live a longer life and spend more beautiful moments with my hubby and future kids. I realized I wouldn’t be able to achieve this if I have health problems, which is inevitable when I have weight problems. I would want to be strong enough to keep up with my kids.

I have tried going on diets, none of which are actually sustainable. Or probably I just wasn’t too disciplined enough. Is it a question of desire? It’s really easier said than done. If I’m probably filthy rich I would have tried having a tummy tuck or a liposuction. I’m just a little concerned of the health risks involved in those procedures. I guess I need to read about those stuff more. But it’s usually a success story so it’s really encouraging. I’d probably even have a breast augmentation after so that everything is in proportion! Hahaha! Well, I know it doesn’t stop there after the procedures, but at least I’ll have a good head start already.

Halloween at Orlando

A little over a month and it’s Halloween again. I know it’s not much celebrated here since our focus is usually the All Soul’s Day and the All Saint’s Day where we all troop to the cemeteries and visit our loved ones who have passed away, although there are some villages who observe Halloween. They decorate their houses and allow trick or treating. I guess that’s one of my frustrations, that I wasn’t able to experience it when I was a kid. Well, I just came across Orlando’s plans for their Halloween Horror Nights which promises to be very terrifying. That would probably be a nice time to visit Orlando. There are a lot of hotels in orlando you can choose from where you could stay. Hopefully, you won’t have nightmares there after going to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights!

Replay photos

There are a lot of ways how you can earn from photography. You can probably set up your own studio or probably offer your services for events like weddings and birthdays. You can also have them framed and sell them probably to hotels or restaurants or even for personal use. You can also sell them online. There are a lot of sites who does this, just like Replay Photos who sells exclusive athletic and campus photography. Best sellers are pictures from Penn State football games. You can even actually customize it before ordering.

Rehab

It is unfortunate and alarming that the amount of drug addicts and alcoholics are increasing. Solving this problem is not that easy since it is caused by a numerous reasons. I just hope that there are more rehabs to be put up to help these people. I know it’s hard for their families to deal with admitting them to rehabs, but putting them into rehabs can be a great sacrifice that can save the lives of these addicts. I know some are in denial that their loved ones are already addicts and needs help, but they must learn to accept this and deal with it before things get any more complicated and to prevent any untoward circumstances.

It is definitely hard for addicts to be put in rehabs and be taken away from what they are addicted to. Rehabs are there to help them out to quit and cope with their addiction. They usually have this program which they follow in order to rehabilitate these addicts. There are some rehabs which has taken an extra step of making their environment very comfortable for their patients, like some Malibu Rehab. I guess with this kind of ambiance, it wouldn’t be too bad anymore to stay in a place like that. It somehow makes it a little easier for them to fight against their addiction due to the conducive place for self improvement

lapband surgery

I admit having a struggle with weight loss. Sometimes I’d start eating less and do some biking, and then when weekend hits and I get to spend time with my hubby, all the discipline crashes and I end up overindulging. Yes, I’m partially blaming him for this. Hehehe! He actually can’t accept that I gained as high as 30 pounds when we became a couple. We both really love to eat, and it’s even heightened when we’re together Well, thank goodness I’ve already lost 15 of those extra pounds. But then again, I’ve got such a long way to go that sometimes I really wish I’d win the lotto so I can have one of those houston lapband surgery. Sometimes I’m losing faith that I really can’t do this alone so I really need a jump start and having those kinds of procedures will hopefully do the trick

Poker!

It’s good that I’m able to play some poker games with friends again. It has been awhile since I was able to go to some sessions. Last Friday was really fun since a lot came and it was really good seeing old friends I haven’t seen for months! Usually it’s the last two who gets to split the pot. Sometimes we even play hearts in between, which I actually enjoy more since I feel it requires more brain power than luck unlike poker. Well, I’ve won some and lost some. In the end I was even. At least I had a fun night!

Normally, when I don’t get to play for real, I would usually play online casino. It doesn’t really have to be with real money. It’s just good practice. Although online betting somehow has a different feel specially if you’re playing with play money wherein you sometimes don’t care that much if you lose since you just have to reset so that you can replenish your cash and play as much as you want. Nevertheless, I still enjoy playing. I have yet to explore some of the other games since I’ve been stuck with poker lately.

Log cabins

Vacations are precious times with family or friends. It’s a time where you can just relax and enjoy each other’s company. It would really be nice to stay in one of those luxuries yet cozy places. I have an extra inkling for places like a Pigeon Forge cabin rental wherein you get that homey feel. I guess the log cabins really create that kind of an ambiance for you. Staying in one of those places, with a really nice view can really be one dream vacation.

different styles available

What type of bras do you wear? I know there are a lot of available styles to suit whatever you’re wearing. Of course it sometimes depends on the cut of you dress. You’d have to wear strapless bras when you’re going to wear a tube top. You also have that one which crisscrosses at the back for your razorback tops. And when you go to the gym and do some work out, you use a different bra as well which can give you that added support. It actually hurts a little when you go jogging and you’re not using the right bra. There really is a wide range of style available for you to choose from. You can check out marie jo bras for their exclusive European lines for your lingerie needs.

What's more important

Have people become vainer these days? Sometimes I wonder which leads to what? Did it start from the need to look good always or did the advancement of technology drive all these? Is it because of that eternal quest for youthful look?

I know a lot of people are into these and it sometimes amuses me and amazes me how much they are willing to spend for all these! And they say that people are having hard times with the economy! Just look at all the spas and cosmetic surgeries emerging! They wouldn’t be put up if they didn’t see that there is really a market for this. It can really be such a lucrative industry! Of course, who wouldn’t want to look good given the chance? I guess the real question is how far or rather how much are they willing to spend to achieve the look that they want? Those who are on their way to getting an older look would opt to have a facelift. Those who just can’t seem to lose weight would consider liposuction. Some have even had makeup tattoos on so that they can always have that all made up look even if they have just woken up.

I think, more than anyone, it’s the actors and actresses who are more inclined to have all these procedures done since they are pressured to keep a certain image. There are a lot of them rumored to have a beverly hills cosmetic surgery while some a california liposuction. Well, they do have the money so there’s really no stopping them from trying to improve themselves.

As for those who can’t afford these luxuries, don’t fret. These are just physical attributes. In the big picture, what’s more important is your personality and character. That should be all our main focus. On the judging day and we stand in front of God, it’s not our physicality that He is going to look at, but what good we have done while we were still living.

bathroom quirks

I think all of us have our own quirks and I think it’s safe to say that I’m not alone when it comes to quirks about bathrooms. I usually have a hard time using dirty public toilets. I would rather hold my pee! Even in hotels, resorts, or other people’s house, I usually become critical with their bathrooms. Well, we actually have 2 bathrooms at home, one at the corridor, which is usually used by my brother and if we have guests, and the other one at the master’s bedroom. And since my brother can get really filthy and doesn’t share my quirks with bathrooms I would usually use the one in the master’s bedroom.

I guess someday, when I get to have my own house, the bathroom would be one place I’d be really particular with. I want it spacious enough. A nice bath tub would be really swell. Nicely designed sinks and Taps would really be great as well. I’d probably put some plants and candles to give it that zen feeling.

Trustsource.org

I’m sure you have encountered lots of products being sold through the internet. Sometimes your mail even gets lots of spams which sell certain products. I know it can get irritating sometimes. I have nothing against products sold online. Actually, I believe that you can really find great finds in the internet. It’s just sometimes a matter of finding them. There are really a lot of sites set-up to sell different kinds of products. You just really have to be careful to determine which are scams and which are legitimate.

You can find a lot of beauty products as well as health and fitness equipments just like in TV which claims a lot of things. Like they can make you lose weight in a matter of weeks or that your skin can lighten just by putting on certain creams. It really is sometimes hard to tell which of these claims are true. Of course you don’t want to buy bogus products. That’s just really a waste of money.

Well, it’s a good thing that some people have come up with sites which offers review of certain products being sold online. They really have all these informative views from other people who have tried the products. I guess reading some of these gives you a feeling of security that you’re just not throwing down the drain some hard earned money. You can find here reviews of hair loss products like provillus. And in case you’re starting to get those hot flashes and you’re suspecting that you’re getting into that menopausal stage, you might also want to check out some menopause products which can help relieve symptoms. If you’re also a little vain and want to eliminate all those cellulite up your thighs and is thinking of buying a cellulite cream, read reviews first! Take advantage of all these reviews since they’re there to help you in deciding whether it’s worth making those purchases.

search engines

You can almost find anything and everything in the internet. It’s just really a matter of how good you are in searching for them. This is where the help of search engines become really very useful. You wouldn’t know where to go if not for these search engines. It’s one big directory where you could easily get lost. I’m sure you’ve had encounters of searching the net and not really getting where you want to be. It really sometimes depends on the key words you enter. Well, I’m really not sure how these search engines work. Like how do they determine which ones to display first? How do they determine the ranking of these search results? Which search engines are great to use? Well, there’s this new mylivesearch search engine which can be used to improve results from search engines like Yahoo and Google. It can even lead your searches to those invisible pages! Anyway, as I’ve said earlier, putting the right keywords is sometimes really just the key to getting the information you’re looking for!

the dog with a character

I love my dog! She's such a character! She never fails to amuse us. She's the type who's sooo malambing. Whenever we come home, she wants to be patted and hugged or else she would do everything to make papansin until you acknowledge her.

She loves lying on the couch and even on my mom's bed! She also has this habit of lying on any of my mom's used clothes. She'd take them out of the bin and uses it as her pillow.

I just have to share with you this photo:

Can you please put off the light?!?!

Goin2Travel

If you're planning to go on a vacation and you're looking for a great source for short term rentals, try checking out the site of Goin2Travel. I think you'll find this site useful since it features some of the world's most unique vacation rentals. You can look at some Fort Myers Beach vacation rentals, or Kissimmee vacation rentals, and Panama City beach vacation homes as examples.

What's great about this site is that a lot of the properties listed here are listed directly by owners, thus bypassing the middleman & saving you money. You'd definitely find great deals here which would suit your travel preference. Vacations can be really fun, specially if it doesn't hurt the pocket too much!

If you're having your house renovated as well, you might find this site useful for you. You can opt to stay in some of the listed properties in the site while your house is undergoing construction. It would be like a temporary house which you can call your home for the meantime.

hawaii

Wouldn’t it be nice to go to Hawaii? I’m the type of person who really loves the beach! Hopefully someday I get to experience what Hawaii beaches has to offer. Just the thought of enjoying the sand, sun, and sea excites me already! It would be nice to take a vacation at those Hawaii Vacation Rentals. I would just love to enjoy the convenience and luxury of staying at those nice places. That would really be a great vacation! It would be really fun if I’m with great friends. It would be such a riot! We would just lounge by the beach and enjoy the sun, go for a couple of swim, probably even catch a wave or two, meet new people during those luaus, and just really enjoy each other’s company! We’ll probably bring our poker set so we can have sessions there.

Check up

I've been a bad girl! I haven't gone back to my ENT doctor again due to my ear infection. Well, as of far my hearing is almost back to normal although I still somehow hear a little echo, specially when listening to my own voice. Hopefully I'll get to go back again and let the doctor inspect my ear again. I still do get alarmed at times specially when cleaning my ears since I still sometimes get hardened blood. Oh well. I hope it's nothing serious! I know I'll be able to recover 100% from this.

Things to buy

It looks like my list of things to buy has already doubled up. I just keep on coming up of things I feel I need! I'm trying to rationalize all my buying plans. Although somehow the practical side of me usually kicks in. I know I can shop all day and lose all the money I've worked hard for so I really need to think hard first before going into shopping sprees. I have to think smart and prioritize the things that I really need.

Singapore

I was talking to one of my friends about his travel plans soon. He's really into traveling and has went to a backpacking trip to some asian countries. I was asking some tips about dumaguete and bohol which unfortunately he hasn't gone to yet. Then he suggested that we go to Singapore since a friend would be staying there for the month of October. He's also suggesting passing by Kuala Lumpur. Well, it sounds like a great idea but I would still have to check my budget and choose whether to pursue my plans of going to dumaguete-siquijor-bohol or just choose the Singapore trip.

Body Shop Makeover

I was walking at Trinoma the other day and came across this certain event by Body Shop. I got a bit curious and went closer to check it out. Cool, they were giving out free makeovers. Normally, I would just keep on walking, but then I thought, what's wrong with trying it out? It's not everyday that I get the chance to be all made up. Fortunately, I liked how the lady did my make up. Hopefully I'll get to learn how to put on make-up more properly so I can fix myself up by myself.

Sea world

Another place that I would really like to visit is Orlando! I want to see Disney World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! I think it has been a child hood dream that at least once in this lifetime I get to experience going to these nice places. Even if I’m an adult already, I think these places can easily release the kid in me! I would also love to get those SeaWorld Tickets! I hope I get to save up a lot of money so I could treat my mom and sisters for a nice great vacation in Orlando! I get all excited even just by thinking about it. I think it would be such a very memorable vacation if this pushes through!
